Who would we rather play?

In the first round of the conference tourney, we are going to be seeded anywhere from 3rd-6th and will play either HPU, Coastal, or VMI.

Who would you rather us play?

CCU and it's not even close.

Oh, and Manson, I know it's not likely, but we COULD finish as high as 2nd. Which would throw RU and CSU into the mix.

My vote is for Coastal because the students will pack out that side of the Vines with the "beat coastal" them going and it will be rocking. VMI is very scary, and HPU is the best team of the 3 if they are on their game.

HPU is the best in the conference if they are on their game.

AZ getting 20 and 15, Jefferson hitting 4 or 5 threes with 10 dimes. Game over.

Not going to happen, Asheville would have to lose their last 4 games, and we would have to win out. Asheville's not losing all 4 games.

Not if they get into a 3 way tie with us and someone else with 3 more losses.

Could even be a 4 way tie.

And we split with them, and as long as Coastal is in the tie, we will win the tiebreaker since we swept them.

1.WU

t2.UNCA
LU
CCU
HPU (all at 8-6)

We are 1-1 against UNCA and HPU, and 2-0 against CCU, that's 4-2.

UNCA would be 3-3. HPU would be 2-4. CCU would be 3-3. We would win the tiebreaker and get 2nd.

6. VMI
7. RU
8. CSU

Gotta go with the majority and say Coastal. I'm just waiting for someone to come out with the old, lame thing about how hard it is to beat a team 3 times in a year. Totally bogus IMHO.

It is hard to beat a team 3 times in a row. But we would just be trying to beat them once.

I don't think it's bogus, I think it's legit.

VMI. Beating VMI never gets old.

Be thankful PC can't participate this year - us and Duke both fell to Wake Forest this season and are looking for revenge.

Seriously, best of luck to you guys post season. I figure either you or VMI.

I'm with the Tire Man: let the Keydets come over the mountain with their rats in uniform as a fan base and see what Super and his "10 closest friends" can do in the stands while TeeJay, Alex, & Smitty take care of business on the court.

I voted for HPU, only because I'd rather face them at home than a neutral court. We've shown we can beat them at home but they gave it to us on the road. CCU and VMI would be easier games but memories of '04 and HP in the Vines Center brings back chills.
