Game #26: @ Coastal

We do have a game on Saturday and a big one at that. Both teams come in to the game tied at 5-5 in conference. Whoever wins this game will have the inside track to securing 4th place and a home game in the first round of the tourney.

Key players:

Umm, I know we normally mention several here, but who else do they have other than Jack Leasure? If we can slow him down like we did in Lynchburg, we should win no problem. If he has a good game, it could be a long night.

Is anybody making the roadtrip to Coastal? Too bad it's not being broadcast on MASN.

FYI, from the last thing I saw, Everage Richardson is still out due to an emergency apendectomy (sp?)...he's expected back in another week or so.

Thanks for the update, WEF. I thought he was coming back this week.

I did too, but the Myrtle Beach paper had an article the other day about the team on Wednesday:

http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/175/story/349638.html

And it pretty much makes it sound like he won't be available at all this weekend and may be ready for Coastal's game against Asheville on the 27th.

Cliff Ellis hasn't caught many breaks this year, though he's done a good job of keeping the team afloat despite the injuries and other issues.

Good break for us. Richardson gave us a matchup problem in our first contest.

Anderson and Ohman in the starting lineup here instead of Bannister and Porter.

Make that 0-5 now and we are 1-8 overall, but only down 4-3. Ugly start.

BJ and Alex seem to be the only ones to have shown up today.

TeeJay is in now and is dropping dimes left and right. 13-9 flames.

Rell still hasn't checked in. Wonder what's up?

Rell has a sleeve on the knee he hurt Tuesday night. I assume that's the issue.

I forgot about that, he just checked in. It's 15-9 and Ant is now 0-6

i am impressed by the live stats at CCU. They are right on top of it so far. Actually several seconds ahead of the audio feed. J. Holland is getting some early minutes.

Up 23-11. j. Holland doing a good job in for TeeJay who is sitting w/2 fouls.
