Seth Curry has signed with Liberty, a nice little Division I school, but I'm beginning to agree with rivals.com national scout Justin Young who thinks Curry is a little better than North Carolina point guard signee Larry Drew.

Nothing against Liberty, but Curry should be playing in the ACC or SEC or Charlotte next year. The college scouts missed out on this one, but maybe they should've known to take a chance on Curry, who appears to be the same type of late bloomer that his brother was, and Stephen wasn't heavily recruited out of high school.

I think everybody needs to stop making him second guess himself. I tend to think that any columnist that is familiar with us would not consider us a "nice little DI school". He just didn't want to insult his choice. However, we will certainly be much more than "nice" in the next few years.

Believe me he isnt going to read anything that RM hasnt told him already...RM did sell to him what LU basketball is (b/c as of right now it's nothing important) he sold Seth on what LU BB will be...he truly believes they will be playing championship quality basketball in the near future...so right now Seth is reading just what RM told him, and he knows that he can be the start of something great, something that rivals.com and others have no idea what is about to take place.


RM has a good relationship with a lot of coach's on campus, and he surrounds himself with others believers in what LU has to offer. To these coach's it's a hidden gem that very few people know about. All they try to do is have the kid take a visit here....it will sell itself. Liberty all in all is still "undiscovered" and the good news is the secrets getting out there...and you're going to see more an more athletes better and better...athletes the sports world doesnt believe we landed...but we know why we did

I believe that with all my heart, and have been saying it since I joined this board. I think we have the right people in place now to begin recruiting elite athletes who have lots of options, but will come to LU BECAUSE OF WHAT IT IS, whereas in the past we too often settled for athletes who have few if any options and came IN SPITE OF WHAT IT IS.

I just got back from lunch with Coach Pinder, and I know volleyball isnt a sport a lot of you follow (yet) but it's started there. Their team has 2-3 underclassmen who the ACC would LOVE to have. They have just recently reset team/individual goals where as before there would be one like "recruit and sign a top 100 player" and now b/c of Nic it's "recruit and sign a top 50 player"



We have a lot of teams on the verge of something great...now we're getting more and more funding so look out, I promise you huge things are in the future and hopefully we can stay grounded through it all where as an Oral Roberts and others lost their way

RM is doing a great job recruiting and with this year's team. My bet is that by the time Seth and Co. are seniors we are not only in the NCAA tourney but may just knock off a team or two with the right seeding. This program is headed up...big time.
