BJ is a playa. his parents and AAU coach were there to check him out. yes he did dunk on a certain player...and hard. alex mc lean and anthony smith played excellent, and brew did ok as well. the guys certainly have potential to be very good next yearr.

I also went to the open gym. The talent is better but it is still too early to tell where this team will be come January of '07. BJ's dunk was sick. Brewington was decent. I definitely like Alex Mclean's game in the post.

sounds like happy days may indeed be here again.
I'd really Coach D and the guys like to make Marshall scream and yell, and turn that lovely shade of scarlet again- assuming he's not at NC State.

BJ was very impressive. his court vision is really good, his hops obviously was really good, his jumpshot was really good. he and smitty worked great together.ALLY-OOOP!! smitty was amazing as usual. alex had a bunch of dunks as usual. justin holland played the basketball i ever saw him play. i dont think he missed a jumpshot. i dont think he wanted some highschool kid to come in and show him up. he played really, really, really good. back to BJ, his passing ability is what impresses me the most. i knew he could score from the highlight tape, and the quadroople double'S.(he had 2 of them, back to back

) i like his game alot, and i think he's going to help us by being a POINT GUARD.

and what's even better to hear is how impressive he is off the court with a military father it makes sense why after every thing you say it's, yes sir, no sir

Scar give us your thoughts on BJ and where the roster is at this time? Can this staff recruit talent or are we running from behind?

I know I'm no Scar but I'll give you my take after talking with all the Coach's.......
BJ is a great player and will add much MUCH needed depth to this line up....and as I've said a million times you dont need a 7 footer to win the BS, we have two good 4's and that should fit the bill nicely (still hoping for one more big man, they should know something very soon).....not to mention Brew who in just 1 or 2 years could go down as one of the best Flames ever.....keep in mind the rating system that gave Brew a 6 out of HS and LB a 3.....Baker will hit his open looks, and in the midst of all these new players we still have a great players in Smith and Blair....we are now a force in the BS....I just hope the preseason polls give us a 5 or 6 spot, even though it wont take long to get the word out

I think HMO covered it well. BJ is a good player and will help Liberty for sure. Kinda like Whit Holcome Faye without the bad shots. Not the quickest guard in the league but can get to the rim. The perimeter should be really good especially the way Anthony Smith is hoopin right now. He is really playing strong and tough. I always liked his game but I think he can really do some damage in the Big South next season. I can't wait to see Larry Franklin and Armon Jones in a few weeks.

these guys hit it right on the head. BJ, when recruited was compared to W.H-F but the freshmen W.H-F. the team has plenty of talent and Brew brings good I.Q. to the table. All we have to do is see if we can get another big and wait until December 16, when we have our whole team. good times for LU athletics next year

Seems like we have a sick amount of talent. But as I hear everyone talk about what they're seeing, it seems we're really deep. But if each of these guys are as great as all the others, will that make compiling a depth chart difficult?
I guess what I'm asking is, is there enough PT to go around? Maybe Scar or HMO could run down a brief depth chart of starters and bench on perimeter and post, as it looks now...
