Im starting my Own topic on this...
RMK says about Radford "Radford on Saturday, big game for us, chance to finish the first half of the league still in the race. If you don't win that one, you know, you've got a long way to go."
haha Fan the Flames
... Is this trash talk? It might be, BUT I LOVE IT.

You think he was speaking to how bad Radford is? I took it as not wanting to fall 3 games behind Asheville with only 7 games to go especially after they smash Winthrop on Saturday (Relax WU fans it was a joke).

I want to see that game. I will have to watch it on the big south edge. It will be a great game. We need WU to beat UNCA so they both can have 1 loss then when we beat them both in the Vines we will be tied with them. Plus they have to play again so one of them would have 3 losses at that point if my scenerio plays out. But Ritchie was saying how awful Radford was in those comments

(did that help?)

BTW the big south was a little late making the Radford Liberty game the last game of the year. It is not exactly a rivalry with them being so bad this year.

Yesssss. I knew it! haha

UNCA plays @ Winthrop on the final day of the season.....that game could decided a lot.

The last few years this game (LU at Radford) has been broadcast locally by one of the Roanoke stations, I think WDBJ. Does anyone know if they will be doing this again?
I didn't read even the slightest bit of disrespect toward Radford into RMc's comment. If anything, he was respecting the fact that even though their record is poor, it is still a big game for us.

I'm pulling for Asheville in this one. I don't see Winthrop having a chance to lose more than 2 more conference games with this being one of them, and the other being when they come to the Furnace. Whereas, Asheville can still lose @Winthrop, @ LU, @ High Point.

Manson, as long as we beat WU and they split with Asheville that would be 3 losses for WU. Remember they have already lost to HPU. We need somone to beat UNCA before we play them next Sat so when we beat them it would bring us in a tie for 1st in the loss column.

I'm not worried about being in first after next week, I'm worried about the end of year standings. Asheville has a better chance of losing 2 games outside of Winthrop, than Winthrop does. No way Winthrop finishes with more than 3 losses. I can see Asheville losing as many as 4.

I don't know if I agree with that Manson. WU already has 1 loss and if they lose to UNCA once and Liberty once that is 3. I guess you are saying that Asheville needs to win their home game vs WU though right? I see what you are saying there but I happen to think UNCA may be better than WU this season. They both are very beatable.

Yes, IF they lose both of those, and those are the only games they have left they have a shot to lose. Outside of the game this weekend, I can see Asheville losing 3 of those (@ LU, @ winthrop, @ HPU.)
