This will be a huge test for us. I'm just looking for us to play well, if we play like we did last night, no chance.

winthrop may be even better than expected, they are taking it to miami (fl.), up 22-15 with 7:44 left in the first half. miami is either undefeated or only has one loss and is ranked...

That's why they lost to Mt. Saint Mary's and blew a 20 point lead to Missouri St, right?

Miami's up five at half.

Winthrop will likely win this game, but I don't think they're "better than expected." They're inconsistent. When they're good, they're VERY good. However, when they're not shooting the lights out like they are tonight, they're very beatable.

Beatable as in you think we can actually beat them?

I actually do believe we can beat them. We almost did last year at Winthrop. With a much better in-game coach this year, I think we've got a shot against them. If their seniors are off or get in foul trouble, they're done. They've been very hot and cold so far this year.

i do not think we have a chance to win this game. we are just too thin on the bench and our scoring laspes are not a good thing. a good team will capitalize on that. i hope we can stay within 20.

If we play as well as I think we are capable of I think we can keep this game close...but right now I just don't see that happening....We probably lose by 20...

Miami is not a legit top-20. They've played a soft schedule, so far. They should drop considerably, once they get more into the ACC part of thier schedule.

As far as Winthrop goes, they'll be tough to beat in the Big South. They have a strong core of returning seniors: Gaynor-Jenkins-Harris-McCoullah. That's three quality senior gaurds, along with a quality senior big man. That's a pretty strong four for a Big South team, but no real depth after that. ..........thanks Greg (:

With TB in the mix, LU actually appears to have a depth advantage over WU. Add in our coaching edge with McKay, and yes, we have a shot.

I'm not going to downplay WU's upset of the U. Of course I have family on the 'Canes coaching staff there in Miami. That was a quality win that will help the Eagles IF they make the tourney.

I can see them folding in the final and ending up in the NIT.

Wow i think thats crazy talk personally. I think the game at Winthrop we lose by 15-20 and at home we lose by probably 10, but no way do i see this team beating them without a major injury or something helping our cause.

I guess I just won't be listening to the game, Livestats for me. (This is the reason my Mac frustrates me.)

you are giving Winthrop way too much credit...no way they beat us by more then 15 at Winthrop and we will either keep within 10 or possibly win at home...

Quality win for Winthrop. They are getting better every game and haven't lost much of a step. It's still hard for any team to go through the conference undefeated, but they are still way ahead of the rest of the league. It will be a huge upset if anyone in the conference beats them.
