Low-profile situation suits McKay

Ritchie McKay spent the past five seasons coaching at "The Pit," New Mexico's 18,018-seat arena. He coached in the Pac-10 before that.

Now he's at Liberty, in the low-profile Big South.

The Flames (5-5), who visit Virginia Tech tonight, lost a nonconference game at Campbell's 947-seat gym last weekend.

"There couldn't have been more than 300 people in that gym," McKay said. "That was maybe the smallest gym I've been in for a while."
