If anyone is in town Friday for homecoming, this is a must-attend event. Coach Rocco and Coach McKay will both be featured speakers, and to see the football stadium from inside the FOC is a thing of beauty. The food is well worth the $10. For poorer alumni, you can come hear the speakers for just $2, but you don't get any food (I'm serious):

The next Flames Club Luncheon will be held on Friday, October 26, at 12:00 in the Williams Football Operations Center (FOC). Football Coach Danny Rocco will provide a mid-season report, and discuss the next day’s Homecoming game against Presbyterian. New Men’s Basketball Coach Ritchie McKay will talk about what to look for from the Flames in his first season at the helm. South Tournament...The buffet menu for the Luncheon will include roast beef, scalloped potatoes, corn, tossed salad, rolls, and marbled cake. Tickets are $10...There is a $2 cover charge for those attending but not purchasing the buffet meal.

I will be there and MRS SCAR will be making her annual appearance as well. Actually I think she was there in the Spring when Ritchie spoke as well. So semi-annual. Looking forward to this weekend!!!!

Its a great call to have this during the homecoming weekend. Too bad they didn't get it on the schedule to let people know it was happening.

Mrs. Sly & I plan on being there following convo (and I'm still disappointed Eddie Dobson isn't speaking until Monday after I'm gone).

haha...I would encourage everybody to buy there tickets by 5pm today you save $2 dollars and I would imagine it will be packed because it's homecoming...

Sly, this is according to the website:

Tickets may be purchased by calling 582-SEAT, e-mailing Tickets@liberty.edu, or by visiting the Flames Ticket Office in the FOC.

Personally, I'd rather call, but the email address may work, too.

I called and bought my tickets this morning. Thanks for the heads up.
