Commisioner Kyle needs to leave The Big South if the league is ever going to go places.

James Madison Dukes
William and Mary Tribe
Old Dominion Monarchs
George Mason Patriots
Liberty Flames

Our name fits perfect.

JMU
VCU
GMU
ODU
W&M

Our geography fits perfect

1A basketball
1AA football

our sporting affiliation fits perfect.

This is my dream.

We can't be arachniphobic.--add UR (as opposed to RU) to the mix.

William, AND Mary. That would be good, as us menfolk AND brokeback can all be happy pairing up with them,

Now, to the original post. I love it how KK plays up being the SW Conf commisioner--it was their FINAL year when the league (and he) was lame duck!

Yours and mine both...and let CCU go to the SoCon sp the Big South can be "Winthrop and Playmates"

*EDIT*
Course I also just realized our name fits perfect with these schools:
Army Black Knights
American Eagles
Liberty Flames
Lafayette...well, you get the general idea (yes, I'm too lazy to look them up on ESPN).
The Patriot league wouldn't be TOO bad of a move, at least Bucknell seems to be making noise and our women could probably dominate this league as well.

Georgraphy, on the other hand, umm, just look at how perfect our name is with the other schools, LOL.

I'd go with:

Old Dominon
William and Mary
James Madison
Norfolk State
George Mason
Radford
Longwood
Liberty

VA is quite rich with good size universities. Sheesh.

How can you guys leave RICHMOND out of a REAL ODAC.

... y Hampton tambien.

i would go with:

football members
william and mary
JMU
richmond
liberty
VMI
gardner-webb
charleston southern

basketball and other sports
george mason
VCU
radford
ODU
longwood

im sticking to my guns that hampton and norfolk state will remain in the MEAC, and coastal would go to the SoCon. that would leave winthrop, UNCA, BSC and high point to fend for themselves. if only some of these schools would add football.....obviously hampton would enhance the football credibility, but i just do not the see the black school sbreaking up. i bring CSU and gardner-webb for football, and the fact they they really do not make waves, and have been loyal to the big south cause.

You have to include American in the Mix but also Howard if they were to leave the MEAC which I agree with Bigsmooth would never happen.

Yes, the DI version instead of the D-III that is currently in existence

NO not ODAC...but VAcon but you have to say it like VAAACON....I want some sort of trophy or something when this happens and they name it this!

Add the D2 and D3 schools to the VaaaaaaaaaaaaCon as well. Then you could do it like English soccer by having the premier league (D1). Or do it like Italian soccer and have Serie A (D1), Serie B (D2), and so on.

After Longwood moved up, how many DII schools are left in Virginia?

Posted: March 25th, 2006, 9:27 am
by A.G.
Not many. St Paul's, VA State, I'm not sure about Norfolk State. Not many left at all.

you forgot virginia union, the DII hoops national champs and could win back to back today. norfolk state is DI in the MEAC. the rest of the colleges in virginia are DIII.

It seems that most of the old DII leagues across the country either dropped down to DIII or lost most of their members to Division I. Down here in Texas there are now two DII leagues. One is a longstanding football league and the other is a conference of NAIA schools that all went DII together at the same time.

We've got two or three D2 leagues in NC I think.

If there were more that were playing D-II, we could add them to the baseball schedule.
