How does GM, Buzz, RD, and Samuels leaving effect the rest of the league standings next year? Who wins? Who finishes last?

I guess RM didn't really need to keep someone around who "knows" the league since there was such a huge turnover. This is gonna be Lundy's best chance for a long time. But with HPU's fanbase, they'll still be thrilled with whatever finish he produces for them. I think it's wide open right now, but I'm thinking HPU, WU, and VMI have a bit of a program consistancy advantage at the moment.

VMI will by FAR be the worst team in the big south EVER....Kidding. No really the coaching changes does make the dynamics of the big south change. I don't know what to expect. I do think the league will be more balanced and not just a runaway by WU. They should still be good. Randy Peele is a decent coach and recruiter. They had some redshirts in the wings that should be big contributors. VMI's recruiting class is supposed to be nice. Jason Allison has done a terrific job getting players there to complement Reggie and the Holmes Twins who should be one of the best 123 combinations in the league. HPU should be very good again. Liberty will be competitive for sure.

Frankly this is the most wide open I have seen the league in years. Until somebody knocks the Eagles off their perch, they will have to be considered the favorite even with the loss of GM as well as T-Mart & Bradshaw. HPU will be strong with AZ getting one last shot at the title. And while VMI's tourney run contrasted greatly with their regular season, they have earned some serious respect. But if everything comes together just right, I could see us making a run at the title ourselves.

If I am not mistaken, Eddie is in his final year of his contract at UNCA...and I think the AD has already mentioned that nothing will be done until they see how the season goes. As much as he's done for that athletic department...in terms of fund raising and exposure...and even though he is a good friend...he honestly needs to step it up a couple of notches or that'll be the next Big South opening.

I think it will be a two team race near the top with WU and HP. WU will come back to earth some this year, but they still have the senior backcourt and Taj, plus some impact recruits. HP could win, but I always doubt Lundy in the big game. It just seems that HP never shows up in any game of any importance. I'm still a little skeptical of VMI, they had a great run in the tourney, but that was about it, and it was partly fueled by a gameplan change that other coaches weren't prepared for. I agree on the comments about UNCA, eddie has been there forever but they haven't even seen mild success in a while. CCU and RU look to be really down, LU and UNCA the biggest question marks.

It will be interesting to see who coastal hires and if they have defunctions from their team.... if some kids leave like Mack, Harris, etc... they could sink into the ocean. I have to believe that AZ and Lundy are licking their chops with GM gone.

I'm not sure if anyone would go. It's tough enough to have to sit the next year out, but your options would be limited to where you could go because alot of teams have all of their scholarships for the upcoming season filled up.

Never rule out a temporary JUCO side trip or a DII school for players who come to realization that they are not the second coming. But in general I don't see any key contributor leaving Conway.
