The pre-draft camps are starting to blossom. Haven't heard anything from the LB camp? Is he getting a sniff anywhere?

Doubt it. He'll go to Europe.

haha, SJ you crack me up...for any new posters they would probably think you hate LB....and sometimes i wonder....
he will be in europe....but it has been my thought for a long time if used differently here at LU he would have a much better shot at making it....but he was misused every year here....and never challenged to get better.....he is a good player, and did a lot of good things for us....but there was no great improvements throughout his time here.....

He's not an NBA type player.

he would be if used at point guard....he could've developed into a very solid point guard...he has decent passing skills as it is and if they were focused on more it could've developed his over all game but he had terrible coaching in that respect and that has always been my opinion on larry blair...
I am not saying he would be a shoe in or anything, that is crazy talk....but he would have a heck of a better chance then he does now....he has absolutely no chance in ever playing in the nba....4 years of great development was wasted simply because he was never given a leash....

How was LB's passing decent??? He passed 5 times his entire career

Not so fast my friend. LB led the team in assists this year, and has had 2 double didget assist games in his career. If he had been moved to the point his sophomore year (after Woodson) and encouraged to be more of a playmaker, I think his pro prospects would be MUCH better right now. Instead, he's a 2 guard in a point guard's body. Iverson pulled that one off, but he is a unique talent.

did you watch the games??? he was a decent passer, but the philosophy of the coaching staff was for him to just score...I believe this will hurt him in his pro dreams....

Blair stands no chance at being drafted. Too many D1 guards that went to better schools and out up big numbers and then there are the multitude of foreign guards who have already excelled against top notch competition. No offense to the Big South, but it's nothing like some of them Euro leagues.

Larry's chances in the NBA have nothing to do with the big south. NBA scouts don't look at the league you play in the way a fan would. If you can ball you can ball. They do consider the competition when looking at the stats though. There are plenty of guys I know personally that made it to the league that didn't exactly play in the ACC and we can think of a ton that don't make it from the so called big name schools. No one is saying LB will get drafted and he is a long shot to make the league due to the amount of players out there as you stated. However the heirachy you have may not be accurate. They look at the players when judging their talent as compared to other players. He won't get discounted because he played at Liberty or in the big south. Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Ben Wallace Charles Oakley and many others played at "lesser schools".

you are so right Scar...people know the big school players better and this of course helps them, but there are countless players in the league from conferences such as the big south...

Most of them don't get drafted (or if they do it's normally very low in the second round) but make it to the league via free agency.

It's a little premature to write Blair off as an NBA prospect. I'd imagine that he's working hard to improve his defense and his playmaking ability. And if he does, we may see his name pop up on an NBA roster someday, as a point guard.
Brewington, on the other hand, seems to lack outside scoring range. Also, he would need to improve on his ball handlng. This looks to be even more of an uphill climb for him.
Right now, Torrell Martin from Winthrop probally has the best chance of finding a spot on an NBA roster this season. His teammate, Bradshaw, may not be too far behind him.

This is how clueless Ox is. Martin wasn't even invited to the Orlando pre-draft camp.

Nice try, Super-Girl:
I never said anything about being drafted, only that he may be the closest to landing a roster spot in the near future. There are plenty of players who made it in the big-time and never got an invite to a camp.
