A Sea Of Red

So this past years unis were designed by someone on staff. I'm assuming we'll get new uniforms. It's been mentioned that McKay has some connections with Nike. Will we be getting the SODs? http://www.systemofdress.com/ They're supposed to be rolling out to more than just the 4 schools that had them this pas year. Supposedly Nike's "elite" teams are all getting them. Certainly we're not elite, but if you know the right people...

That said, the shorts look ridiculous. I hope we don't get them.

i was wondering since he has connections to nike if there is any way nike would start rolling out LU stuff, such as tshirts, shorts, etc. maybe even JERSEYS

by the way, i did ask the merchandise manager at the bookstore about jerseys, and she said she had been trying to get them, but she didn't sound very hopefull.

Wouldnt someone like to make a profit around here? Maybe we should market it like this:

"Liberty University has made a lot of local businessman millionaires. Produce LU Jerseys and maybe you could be the next!"

hahahaha. yeah i dont know what is so hard about getting liberty jerseys. maybe if nike starts making them then we will be able to get some somehow. doesn't nike sell jerseys online for all the schools they make them for? i know they sell alot of jerseys for schools like duke, unc, uconn, etc. maybe we can get them directly from the source when they start making them for lu?

doubtful. I think they maybe would sell 50 of them at the most. Not a whole lot of profit margin there.

I heard that Nike is making our jerseys but not those crazy ones that Ohio St wore. We are actually getting 5 different jerseys! Blue, Red, White, Gray and Black. I loved the uniforms this season though. Coach Zach Jones designed them. I would like to own a set of Navy if I could. I will gladly pay for them...I need to talk to RMK this weekend anyway so maybe that will come up in the conversation. Can't get #20 though so I am not sure which jersey I want. #22 would probably be too small. Mayber go with 44 (Armon Jones) my old high school number....5 jerseys is gonna be bananas. We could wear gray, white or Red at home and all but white on the road.

Black would be ugly. The rest sound very cool. Unless the gray is like the silver that MSU wore a couple of years ago. That was hideous.

Scar, it sounds like you have made a new friend in Coach McKay. I'm sure he will lean on you for your knowledge of the history of our program. Thanks for the uniform info.

And please don't give us those stupid shoulder stripes that all of the Nike schools have.

Why do we need grey? Red, blue, and white would be enough.

I am all for new uni's...but please PLEASE do not go the direction of those new NIKE designs...so freaking ugly

Actually Jim I have not spoken with coach yet other than the brief meeting down at the final 4 and the exchange of phone messages. I am gonna try to spend some time with them this weekend though when I am in Lynchburg.

Black Isnt a color for the Gators, or a secondary color, and they have black jerseys and they ARE TOUGH! I would like to see them as well.
