Any chance Sparky could learn how to do a cartwheel during the off season and then do one for the first home basketball game? I bet the Vines Center would erupt with cheers if Sparky could do that next November. :cartwheels

I bet it wouldn't because the only people that really know that quote are the people on here.

Super, there are a lot of people reading this board, even if they don't post; plus, the cartwheel comment made both the Sportsline and channel 13 sports.

Yes, but will the 5000 in attendance next year know about it? A few hundred might, and we could pass the word, but I wouldn't say the whole place would erupt.

Yea, I said 5000.

oh ok. i still don't think it would be as funny to the students, because they don't know about this site.

I don't think many of us would be suprised by that number at all.

I'll honestly be surprised if it isn't a little higher. The students are going to take after McKay, the marketing will be there, and the place should be packed.

if he talks to the students like rocco did and they hype it up a lot there'll be a decent amount there. i think 6500-7000 is about right for the first game

If football's still going good, and they hype it up, it'll be huge.

First home game of the season is going to be something special....I am sure it will be at least 6,000 there if not more....I think we'll average 5,000 throughout the season, maybe more if we are doing pretty good....I think students will begin to get excited about basketball again....McKay is a very likable guy and we are very, very lucky to have him

The more I read about him, the more I hear him in interviews, and the more I see him around campus the more I like him.

According to a poster on this board, McKay was spotted in a limo when he interviewed. :P

He's doing all he can to keep the players here.

Then again, Dunton is doing all he can to take them with him.

Is he really??? where would he be taking them????

He's calling them and all of that stuff. He's working pretty hard on Baker from what I can hear. Wherever he ends up (likely a D1 asst) he wants to take them.

umm, isn't that a blatant violation ?

I see...i guess this is a common thing...but man, I wish Dunton would leave them alone...but I guess it should be expected

I am not really too worried about anybody leaving....especially Baker

Either a violation or certainly against all coaching ethics. Recruiting a verbal commit is one thing.
