I would not be disappointed if we got any of the candidates listed. They all have the qualifications necessary for success in this conference. I would vote for McCay but the others mentioned in this thread are all good based on what I have been reading. My only question would someone coming from a major program such as New Mexico or Auburn think it would be insulting to stoop to the low level of the Big South.

I don't think it's fair to paint with that broad a brush SJ. Buzz iz Buzz, and by the way, last time I checked he was still the coach at Coastal Carolina. Richie McKay is not Buzz Peterson. He actually left Oregon State to take the job at New Mexico State because he felt it was home for him, and I think we have reason to believe that if he is offered this job and accepts it, it will be with the intention of building a winning program at LU. I think everyone is pretty much already assuming that Ehimen Orukpe is not coming. A lot of our key players (Alex, Brew and TJ) are in a situation where they really don't have good options, and I suspect the younger players are witholding judgement until they meet the new coach.
