Thanks for the video link. It may have been 13years ago but the emotions of that season remain. What a season! What a great bunch of guys. LU sports the way we long for.

I remember watching that in 11th grade. Back in North Carolina, the ACC tourney & the NCAA tourney took first place when it came to the classroom. Teachers stopped turned on the TV and we would watch the games until school got out for the day.

I had just told some people earlier that week that I would like to attend LU. They laughed saying they never heard of it. Then, when the game against UNC was close, they all started ragging on me because they knew I was a UNC fan. All of the sudden, they loved LU (stupid Wolfpack fans).

Anyways, I still get ticked off when I hear the "winner of this game gets the winner of Wash. St. & Boston College." That BC game was garbage & I still have a "strong dislike" for Abrams and BC. Taking Phelps out of the game is what gave BC the win. :x

I think that's fairly universal around the state in March. I experienced the same thing in middle and high school. I'm sure it had something to do with my proximity to Chapel Hill. All of our teachers, subs and student teachers were from UNC, Duke or NCSU. Well, we had a few from NC Central and such as well.

none of my teachers atteneded the schools, but they knew that we weren't gonna pay attention in class anyway. half the class would sneak in radio's for the times that we weren't allowed to watch games, so i guess the figured they may as well just let us :)
