It says that our asst. coach Zack Jones played for two teams in his NBA career, Cleveland and New Jersey.

Yet, I'm not seeing any record of him playing at all at basketball-reference.com. Does Zack go by any other names?

Most likely, he signed a couple of short term deals and saw no actual playing time, but occupied a roster spot for a small period of time nonetheless. People on Jones' level never leave it off of their resumes and it is considered an accomplishment and not an embellishment.
