Though it's a moot point in light of the post about McKay being hired, it's interesting to note where some of the names from Flamefans list of possible candidates are popping up: John Pelphrey is apparently in the running for the USF job.

The coaching carousel continues to turn and we give you plenty of scuttlebutt:

- Apparently, the co-leaders for the South Florida job are Winthrop's Gregg Marshall and South Alabama's John Pelphrey. Marshall has not been to the Tampa campus in the last two days while Pelphrey met with South Florida off-campus recently. Another name that could be in play is TV analyst Fran Fraschilla.

- Liberty is basically down to a pair of candidates - former New Mexico coach Ritchie McKay and West Virginia assistant Matt Brown.
