The stars are aligning. Al Walker is out as head coach at BU. Dunton, Okon, and the Nigerian Nightmare are heading north on I-81. Cartwheels to Binghampton. Best of luck Coach in your next coaching chapter.

I wonder in Binghamton will do a "national search" or if they will snatch up Dunton & company while they are still available? I guess we know were Little D will be playing next year.
Here's part of an article I found than mentioned RD and the open job at Binghamton:
...The job should draw plenty of interest. There's a fantastic arena, a solid fan base and an administration that supports the program. There's no football or hockey to divert money or attention. Binghamton is a basketball school.
This program is a sleeping giant. It's the kind of program that, with the right coach, can get to the NCAA Tournament relatively quickly.
So who will the next coach be?
Here are some names of potential candidates to keep an eye on. The list is in no particular order.
* King Rice
He led Binghamton High School to back-to-back state championships in the mid-1980s, then started at point guard for North Carolina's Final Four team in 1991. Rice is in his first season as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt, which has been in and out of the national Top-25 this season.
* Tom Herrion
Herrion coached the College of Charleston for four seasons, going 80-38 before being let go by the school after last season. He has done TV commentary this past season, giving color commentary for BU's games at Albany and at Vermont.
* Randy Dunton
Dunton served as an assistant coach for two seasons under Walker before becoming Liberty's head coach in 2002. He guided the Flames to the NCAA Tournament in 2004. That was his only winning season, and he went 66-85 in five seasons.
* Brian Beaury
Beaury has been the coach at Division II College of St. Rose since 1986. He entered the season with 445 career victories. Over the last 11 seasons, his teams have averaged 23 victories, and the have gone to the Division II postseason nine times in 15 seasons. He also defeated the Bearcats in exhibition games in two of the past three seasons.
This is a monumental decision for Binghamton University.
There's no reason why the Bearcats shouldn't be one of the America East Conference's elite teams.
That's what Thirer said is his expectation for the program. Now he has to find the coach who will pick up the ball from Walker and carry it to the next level.

Obviously pure speculation, but I called this shot last week. I have a crystal ball, so if you have questions, I have answers. I just googled Al Walker under the news category. One of the articles mentioned they wanted to find a quick replacement.
Cinema 6 feature showing of "Cartwheels to Binghampton"
or Ringley Brothers featuring Dunton's famous Cartwheels.
