You can't assume anything either. We don't play well at Radford. I'm sure CCU thought they were going to win tonight.

That's why we play the games.

I liked our Chances @ Longwood

True, but Longwood was a meaningless game.

Radford is a chance at redemption for the CCU loss.

Not meaningless at all, when u beat a team by almost 30 and then go there and play like trash, it means a lot

... hmm

It's all about the conference now, and I can see having a down game against a couple of non-conference nobodies this late in the season.

QUESTION: Since Winthrop has the #1 seed all locked up, would one think they may rest alot of their starters for the BST or go for the undefeated regular season? That would stink if we win and WU lays an egg. Thoughts?

I don't see anyway Winthrop rests any of the starters (unless it's a blowout, which I think is wishful thinking). I could be wrong, but I think there are 2 reasons for this.

1. It would be great to be the first team in Big South history to go undefeated in regular season conference play. That's something even the great Coastal teams from the early 90's didn't do.

2. A loss would really hurt the chances of Winthrop getting a good seed in the NCAA Tournament (and kill any hope of an at-large if needed... on a side note, I'm not a big believer that we can get an at-large anyway but I won't get into that right now).

Like I said, I could be wrong... but I doubt it. :)

Thanks for the input

There are alot of subplots with this weekend's games. It is great that 2 days before the VMI game there were people saying we would lose the last 2 and playoff game, maybe be a 5 seed.....then 2 days later, we have won, we have a chance now at a 3 seed and a return to the Vines from the GIANT from Ashville.

Let's see the roller coaster of the LU season again..... UP UP UP DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN UP UP UP DOWN DOWN DOWN, NOW UP UP.......???.

WU is too concerned about the RPI to rest players or play soft against CCU. They may be looking at a twelve seed or better if they can win out. I doubt that they would intentionally jeopardize that.

I agree totally on the WU game. Marshall isn't stupid - they're going for the win big time.

And yes "Why Not Liberty?"

Go Flames !

Also, Coastal has given WU fits in the last couple of years...Marshall and the Eagles need to figure out how to play better against them in case they meet again in the tourney...no way he takes this game lightly.
