LU with good shot at 3 seed, CCU drops to UNCA

UNCA took out CCU tonight, so LU needs to beat RU, and have WU beat CCU and they get the 3 seed. I would say that scenario is pretty likely.

Never said it before:

Let's go Eagles! Clap Clap Clapclapclap

I think the Rapture is coming soon because me and Medic have cheered for Winthrop in the same week.

Maybe old Chris Lang is a prophet after all: he predicted LU to third during the preseason. Chris, you're a genius, man!

I know everybody is now officially "fired up." (I called a member of the staff immediately after the buzzer, and he was
in the "no way" mode) The guys will be "sky high" for the Highlanders (please forgive that verbage)

That should be "Winthrop on the road..." (not at home).

But the rest of it is right (I hope).

 I thought you'd like that. Hey, ESPN saying good things about Winthrop... that's nice. USA Today giving us props... that's cool. But you and SuperJon showing us love on Flamefans.com... now that's something special. :D

Horrez, check out my question I posted on another thread a minute ago about WU and let me know your thoughts. MY BAD, I was under the impression I had in a conversation last night on the phone that WU was at home. That makes it just a bit more interesting.

I wish the game was in Rock Hill. We seem to have enough trouble with Coastal when we play them at our place... playing at their place is not going to be easy. Some on our board think it will be a blowout. I hope they are right.

I saw that score scroll across the bottom on ESPN last night, and I was estatic! I jumped off the couch, and got online to see the score updated every minute. I got a 2nd boost of energy from that! The guys have got to be pumped up for Saturday!

Thank you UNC-A :clapping

Let's send Coach Biedenbach a fruit basket, a free dinner from Crown Sterling, and a nice thank you card for that one

Be careful what you ask for...
...UNCA (note the missing hyphen) is hitting a late-season stride, right now, and might be a tough opponent in they finish in the 6th slot.

While i agree with that....i still like our chances of playing UNCA rather then being run to death by VMI and then if we win going down to Winthrop dog tired. We can't underestimate them, but they are a lot more predictable that a team who could drop 20 three's on you quickly if they get hot.

It's funny. Over on the VMI board, they're nervous about dropping into 6th place and having to play us here in the 1st round. They don't want that and neither do we.

Winthrop and Coastal play today starting at 2. I will try to bring updates here occasionally as I follow that game. Go Eagles (I hope I don't have to say that again).

It'll be hard pulling for Winthrop with them splashing Marshall's face all over the screen but I'm gonna try.

Game's on SportsSouth.

Game is on tv, huge tournament implications, Jack Leasure's first shot: air ball.

Josh Mack on the other hand, nothing but net.
