Being a relatively new supporter of LU Hoops, I was scanning the media guide today. I hope I have this information right. If I don't please correct me (especially those who have followed from the 80's on the move to D. 1)

Last night: Alex had 40 points and 19 rebs.

40 Away Points Tied Ed Vickers mark of 40 in 1979 and is now #1 in the LU D1 record for that.
19 Rebounds put him 1st for LU D1 beating the old mark of 18
17 Defensive Rebounds is now 1st for LU D1 beating the old mark of 13

For the season, Ace has a total of 253 rebounds (168 def/ 85 off). He would have to average 10 in 3 games (granted we win the 1st round game)
LU D 1 single season record is 282 (185 def/ 97 off) Mike Coleman in 1991.

Ed Vickers rebounding records from the late 70's will never be touched IMO.


On a side note, Larry Blair has played 951 minutes this year, which puts him at 4051 for his career, which is #1 all time at LU (2nd is Hildenbrand at 3729)

Team had 47 FG's last night which topped the 45 we had last game.
Missed the D1 record for total rebounds (61) record was 63 vs. Covnent in '99
Acheived the Overall record for most defensive rebounds last night with 46 (Old record was 43)

Brew is currently 3rd for best FG pct. in a season with 60%
Smith is currently 5th for best 3 pt FG pct. in a season with 41.3%

There may be others, but my eyes are getting crossed eyed.

Chris Lang's fine article in the N&A --with LB pic--stated that if Ace would have had one more rebound, he would have been the first D1 player this season to have a 40-20 (points & rebounds).
