I just wanted to do a quick poll to see who thought the officiating was bad against CCU at home. Yes I have my reasons.

I'm not offering a both b/c I wanted to see what yall thought it went towards the most

I voted for the homer option but I'll add comment that it's part of the game, and it's something you need to overcome when it happens to you. It happens to every team at one point.

Sadly, I didnt get to Vote... I watched the Film multiple times and had to help with writing down all of the called the refs made and missed that night... Coach D Sent in a appeal to the officiating people (i forgot the real name for it) and they counted out 15 MISSED CALLS... 12 of which would have HELPED US... thats just missed calls, not all of the BAD calls they made during the game. Im sorry, but in a 1 point game 12 calls couls have helped us out quite a bit. I hope they lose their jobs, as well as Kevin Keys (not involved with the bad officiating, but cant do his job either)

Frankly, I can't remember. I watched the game on the net, and I can't remember officiating playing a huge role. All I remember is that we had no idea what was going on when it mattered most.

I take it you've never had a real job or you wouldn't be so itchy for someone else to lose theirs. Regardless of how ineffective you think somebody may be at what they do, the above is a pretty brazen statement to make.

What's your deal with Kevin Keys anyway? Isn't he the guy in charge of gameday promotions? With all of the "he needs to be fired" talk that's been swirling around this forum the last few months, you single out the guy driving the Coupon Blimp? What's up?

No, I watched it. I think this thread show the state of our basketball program. We are thinking back three games and whining about officiating. Frankly, RD should worry about spending his time teaching his team how to finish a game. If we hold the ball, and put a few guys back on defense, we don't have this thread. But now we spend our time wishing, wondering, and whining.

This is interesting. I didn't know coaches did this. Does it help anything? It's not like we can call a redo. If anything I think it would make the refs mad and have a grudge with us, but I don't even think it would accomplish that. Also, quit picking on Kevin Keys. All he can do is count the turnstyles. And gaurd the other enterances.

If officiating is particularly bad, teams usually send in a tape to the Coordinator of Officials for the game. The head guy obviously wants his guys to get better and they watch game tape just like teams do for the exact same reason. It depends on the coach on what constitutes grounds to send a tape in but, really, you don't want to do it all that often unless there's an ongoing pattern or the calls are really bad. Generally, the best that the league can do is say "sorry" and "we'll get it right next time", which is about as best as you can expect after the fact.

I think it does a lot of good to find out where they missed the call...it lets them know they will be held accountable when they step inside the vines...if we didnt have FTN i'm not so sure even the evaluator would point out the mistakes


TBGBG hinted towards the reason I started this thread...I have something that is of interest from that game. There were a total of 15 missed calls, 12 of them went against LU....that was on our home floor. So yeah, when people get on here and complain saying man, the officials sucked...well, at least this time we have something other than video to base that off of. here it is in case you wanted to see it.

329 MS foul called against Liberty looks like solid block on play on ball
307 MS Liberty given ball out of bounds incorrect
223 NQ no call should be Liberty blocking foul on CC shot
154 MS marginal Liberty foul

Really all I wanted to see was how many hater's would get on here and say that it was either even or in LU's favor, but we all know thats what would have been said it was the night after the game...but like Rish pointed out it was a while ago and really forgotten

It's more or less proof to everything some have been saying all along and others say oh shut up, if you would have played D you would have one...well maybe if 6 of those calls would have gone our way then we'd have a 12 point lead and that midget could have run the court all he wanted it would only have had us win by 10
