Many questions here. Can we keep the momentum going? Will the rest of our team show up? Will more students show up now that there's a glimmer of success? Will Superjon be in attendance? Where will his loyalties lie?
This should be a good game since we acutally have 2 days in between games for once.

SJ, according to the CCU site: he will be there w/ a half-CCU/half LU shirt. that should get him beat down a little. Someone do it for me!

I told you guys in the Winthrop thread, I'm a Coastal basketball fan. I have met Coach Peterson a couple times, I've met a few players, and I just can't pull against them. The only sport I'm split in is football. I'm an LU baseball fan but Coastal basketball fan. No way around it.

SJ the dichotomy of your loyalty is intriguing. Your degree will be from Liberty so you need to convert all the way buddy

Thats funny Medic. I'm feelling kind of sad that this is the last game I get to call tomorrow. Maybe watching SJ in his half and half shirt will cheer me up! Hope you get to tune in tomorrow Medic! The pressure is really on for me to squeeze in a shout out. Where has the season gone? Do you want me to use your real name?

you better tape it yourself for posterity 'cause I'm betting GMTM screws it up again!

I forgot about the radio shout I gave you....I have not seen any of the games this season since I don't have FTN but I will be getting them all at the end of the season....Including the Coastal game on Thursday. When you and Mrs 2B come down we can sit around the fire and watch this section of the game when I give you the shout out and of SJ getting beat up....BTW guys, since there are no seniors and since it is the 25th anniversary of my main man Jerry Edwards, I heard they are going to be honoring him in a ceremony before the game. I hope there are a lot of people that heard the buzz, no pun intended from last game and will come out.

I'm not rooting for the better team. I was Captain Coastal at Coastal before I even considered coming to LU. My degree may be from here but that doesn't take away my loyalty to Coastal in some ways. I still have a ton of friends there. I came here because I wanted to be in a Christian atmosphere, it just so happens that the two schools are in the same conference. I'm a huge Coastal fan and always will be. I'm wearing a Coastal shirt to the game. I actually have a Coastal basketball shirt on right now that I got at a game last semester. I'll pull for LU baseball and LU soccer because I have friends on the team. Like I said, football is the only thing I'm split on.

Smoothie you need to come to the game tomorrow night man. Last home game of the year. I get sad just typing it. Even though this season was rough, I love basketball season and it is always sad when it is over. I will have to work in a shout to you too my friend. I don't like to shoe horn stuff but I will make an opportunity. I got Mrs. SCAR's birthday in with like 2 minutes to go in the game. I must admit I was expecting to have some filler time to do it but that game was exciting right down to the end...I know you like the Larry is Batman stuff but I have to keep it fresh. I saw the movie Sky High the other night for the first time. Its the movie about the boy with Super hero parents and they send him to a high school for future heros called Sky High. They have 2 curriculums, Hero and Hero support! Hero support was for the nerds. Don't know if I will work it in but I like to have something colorful tucked away if I think it will work.

Scar, enjoyed your work the other night, if I didn't enjoy the game. I had no idea Bradshaw played for the Netherlands olympic team though

During halftime of the Winthrop game I was reminiscing on my past 4 years at LU. Some of my greatest memories came right there in the Vines! I got teary-eyed thinking this will be my last game EVER at the vines as a student.
I plan to come back very often once I have graduated (possibly season tickets), but it will never be the same as being a student.

JC, you can probably get away with sitting in the student section for a few years while you still are young and look young but when you become an old Hag like some of us, you will have to let it go. Hold on to that youth and that love for the game my man! You are a great fan and I am glad I had the chance to meet you buddy!
Realist, that Neatherlands team comment I made was killing me. I knew it didn't sound right and I am glad I caught myself. I was thinking New Zealand but I said Netherlands. I may not listen to Ray (as I told him jokingly on the air) but I still listen to myself. Glad you enjoyed the game man even if your boys lost. Did you see coach Marshall put me on the spot at halftime and ask me for a prediction? Good stuff. BTW, I had no time to call you on Sunday or Monday with all of Mrs. SCAR's family in town. I got the gist of the game from SID Jack Frost though. Hope you get to tune in on Thursday man.

Scar, thanks for that compliment. It was a pleasure to meet you as well.
The problem I will have with sitting in the student section is that I get married in June. My fiance doesn't mind going to the games, doesn't mind me yelling, but she HATES sitting in the student section. She thinks it is too rowdy. She easily gets headaches. So, whenever she comes I sit somewhere else, but this love will never die!

dude, sitting in the student section sucks. The scorers table is in between you and the court, give me the corners on the opposite side anyday. I've had many close intimate encounters with opposing teams/players and refs. You can basically have conversations with them and tell them how you feel. (ie you suck and I hope you need to be taken out of here on a golf cart) The coaches can't hear you as well, but they can't turn their back to you either. It's a good deal.

you two are welcome to sit in the band section if you like (although a couple of the guys are pretty vocal but that's the minority in that section)

Maybe so. We will see. I am just really pumped about the game tonight. I think we have an excellent chance to win. I think we match up well with them. If Coastal's guys are hitting from downtown it could be a long night, but if they are average or below I believe we will win.

yesterday at Practice that was one of the most stressed aspects of tonight's game, the statement was made several times long shots turn into long rebounds and we have to get them

you have to step out on jack leasure, or it will be a long night.

CC is one of the few teams we can play our style against because they really don't have any bigs that play major minutes.
I think our gameplan against Winthrop was flawless. We basically ran a modified motion, and with Hubbard in the middle dictacting where the ball is going got us several open layups or several good shots that ended up at the line. Speaking of Hubbard, he's due for a big game.
I think we pressure them hard on the wings and make them beat us in the paint.

Their tallest starter is listed at 6-5. This should bode well for us. We must get out on Leasure, but also Paelay.

They are small but they can score in the post. Pealey and Sonko are similar but Pele Pealey steps out and shoots 3s. Their other big is Harris and he rebounds like Leo Lightbourne especially on the offensive end. Should be a good game. I can't wait to get back to the burg tonight and be at courtside one last time
