Would a "Blair > Holmesx2" sign be out of line?

What would you say? BTW I am doing my homework on this team and if I get all the stats off my sheet onto the air, I will have spoken more than Dick Vitale at a Duke/Carolina game! The record setting pace these guys are on is simply amazing. The big south, NCAA and School records they have already broken and will break is nothing short of extraordinary. I won't give away too much info now (give em a taste, gotta pay for the rest), but they are #1 in the nation in scoring and Dead last in defense. I wonder how many times that has happened if ever. Reggie Williams is on pace to shatter all Big South scoring records. If LB does get to be #1 he won't have it for more than a year. Crazy. Reggie is on pace to score well over 2500 points in his career.

Guys,

It looks like they are charging folks to see this one...Howeva, you can go to the Liberty Channel Website and get it for free (unless they black it out there now). I did that for the women's game the other night. Here is the link: www.wtlutv.com

Any way we could keep the Keydets under 80 points with a slow down offense and pressure defense?

No.

Doubtful. I dont know that many could keep them under 80. I'm looking forward to a 200+ point game.

Our offense struggles to hit 60.. it's going to be a long night if they're hitting their shots.

That's because we're not a very good halfcourt offense. I think we're pretty good in transition. This should play to our strength. On the flip side, the full court pressure has been a weak spot of Liberty's for the last 7 years. At least.

Even if you struggle offensively against VMI, you'll still score alot...it isn't so much as their defense is bad (it isn't great, but they do force a ton of turnovers), its just that you get 30+ more possessions than you normally get in an average game. The same goes for VMI's offense. They're actually not even that good of an offensive team (their shooting percentages aren't that great considering they get quite a few easy baskets off of turnovers), but they put up the huge point-totals because of the pace of the game.

I put this on the WBB board, but as art imitates life, the attendance is better over here!!!

I need to ask SOMEONE a HUGE favor:

If anyone knows Jeri's husband, and I do, he has an uncanny resemblence to Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish. If someone could put that face on a sign with a nice pithy saying that would be tooo funny. Anyone?

Anybody know what the Vines or LU record is for most points scored in a game (by both teams)? If VMI and Larry are on, we make come close to setting some LU records on Saturday.

I’d be surprised if LB got off on Saturday simply because they put so much pressure on the guards. It will be Ace, Baker, Porter and guys at the end of the press break that will get a ton of points. At least that is how it usually stacks up when VMI plays. There was a guy on Mercer that had 32 points and like 18 rebs when SJ, TBGBG and GMTM went to see them play. He was a nobody big man really but had a career day....I will have to get with our SID Vince Breidis to find out the answer to your question because it is not in the media guide or at least I couldn't find it.
