Missing Persons--former LU basketball players

We all know that DEES left and ended up at a college in Louisiana, but how is he doing down there, scoring wise?

What happened to MILLER and all the other former players who left that still had some eligibility remaining?

And the same goes for former coaches--is HANKY'S SON still at Glenville or did he go somewhere else?

Or if you know of LU basketball alumni (meaning they graduated), are any of them COACHING now?

We don't need to limit a coaching search to "inside the family" though.

I don't think Mel's son is at Glenville anymore. As far as the recent players that have left,

Evan Risher, Jeremy Eck, Doug Stewart - All students at LU. Eck just finished in Dec.
Eric Bigby isn't playing anywhere either as far as I know but I don't think he is still at LU. Liberty is such a good school that even when guys are not on the team anymore, they stay at the school rather than transfer to play. I really think that is a testiment as to how much fun and how good your friendships are at LU (not to get too sugar sweet on you guys). Some of my best friends to this day are people I went to Liberty with 15-20 years ago (man I am old)

Despite most people's obsession with finding a new coach, I don't think that's what this thread is about.

New thread: "should the NCAA switch to the synthetic basketball that the NBA got rid of?"

First Response: "Is there a coach out there we can hire that knows how to take advantage of this switch?"

A lot of his threads have had that undertone, that's the only reason I mentioned it. Sorry if I misread it.

Scar, as always, you are a WEALTH of information, but could you modify your list by telling us if these are head or assistant coaches?

There were a few games last year where Bigby was an absolute BEAST inside playing the post. Too bad he and ACE never played together.

Is JEREMY MONCEAUX playing anywhere?

I've have looked everywhere on the internet in search of Monceaux. I can't find anywhere that he is still playing bball. But he's got to be at some D2 or 3 school.

Jeremy retired from hoops a while ago. He was at Alabama the last time I talked to him but was not playing ball. He did injure his knee too while there. I am not sure if he ever suited up. (Monceaux bashing begins in 3...2...1....)

I was thinking that someone here knew him on Facebook (you could seach there), and he was trying to walk on either at Alabama or UAB.

Eric bigby and rashad robinson signed with glenville st. and will be playing next year for both of their final seasons.

Doug and Jeremy Eck graduated in december. doug is engaged to be married and is taking over his grandfather's furniture company.

i always thought that Bigby was a good player. he was just playing the wrong position because we were short on big men. that goes for Doug as well. Bigby reminds me alot of Taj Mcallough from winthrop, both of them are really athletic.

did you know that robinson was terrible at the time? A lot of it may have been mental, he seemed to get down on himself and upset at the fans for being upset with him, but come on, make a layup!

Rashad had to be one of the most frustrating players we;'ve had in awhile. He had the talent but it only came in all too brief flashes.

Yes...watching all those missed lay-ups: PAINFUL.

Doug Stewart is in my freshman math class at Wake Tech Community College.
Two questions:
(1) do they have a basketball team? and
(2) does Stewart have any eligibility left?

(2) yes, two years

Perhaps Doug is taking a class or two to help him with postgrad work. I know I would need a refresher in math before taking the GRE/LSAT or GMAT.

I heard Bigby was playing DII ball this year in Maryland after making it to the final cuts for an NBDL team....

I talked to Eck last night, hes trying to make it back down to Lynchburg for the Home Ashville game.
