I've had this idea in my head for about a week and Ive been waiting for the board to come back so it wouldnt get lost in the firehouse graveyard.
Was thinking about the BB&T classic and how it normally features the teams located in and around the DC area. (Not sure why it was spread out this year)

What about a round robin type of tournament with many of the Virginia colleges. Obviously you couldn't have more than 1 team from any 1 conference since it's before conference play but there are so many schools. You could have a list like:
ODU/W&M/GMU/JMU/VCU (we so belong in this conference, but I digress)
UVA/VT
LU
Longwood (maybe)
Richmond
Hampton/Norfolk St.
I didn't include VMI or RU, since what would be the point of discussing this if we weren't in it. This would have worked out much better if VT had stayed in the Big East. Who goes about setting this type of stuff up? Does an AD get the idea and run with it? (hint hint JB). Or does the sponser like BB&T get it together. I really think this wouldn't hurt anybody's recruiting since it seems many of these teams don't even recruit heavily in state. It seems like it would be good exposure for every team since the entire state is covered and would be interested. Look at how The Big 5 works out at the Palestra. Everybody loves that. I love watching it and I don't even have any connections to it.
