86-81 win.

Don't look now, but we have shot over 80% combined from the line in our last 2 games, including 18-20 tonight, with Cleveland going 4-5 and Aquino 2-2.

Some of the calls were baffling. They seemed to like blowing their whistles.

The Yates call drove me the most nuts. Dude was getting wacked repeatedly and then the call the offensive foul? What was he supposed to do in that scenario? He’s gotta move some point and the refs refused to call 3 obvious fouls.

Either way, proud of the toughness of the guys to pull that one out.

Taelon is so good that it frustrates me when he’s not looking for his shot.

He’s easily the most efficient scorer on the team partly because of his selectivity but I think it hurts the team that he’s not in even more and handling the ball more and shooting more. Obviously he just dropped 33 so I’m not criticizing his performance yesterday, but other games he plays a bit too passive. Just my uneducated thoughts.

I'm not disputing your opinion that he's the most efficient scorer on the team, but there are 4+ players that can put up double figures on any given night. We're built to spread the ball and the scoring, which is how I'd rather have it. Last night? Peter couldn't miss and his movement at all levels was too much for MTSU to keep up with. I continue to believe that our best offensive performances occur with Porter, Metheny and Peter are the guard trio. A combo of Aquino/Cleveland or Aquino/Maughmer for the other two. Shutting down both Peter and Metheny is a tall order for any team.
