If roundball is your blood, this is the place to discuss the Flames as they move into the Ritchie McKay era for the 2nd time.

Playing at Kennesaw State is like trying to win a game in a haunted house—loud, intimidating, and you’re pretty sure there’s some ghostly energy working against you. HCRM already gave us the rundown on their top players and the tough environment, but let’s face it, LU’s dropped the last two games there—it’s like the team gets possessed by the spirit of ‘You don't want to go to War with the Owls’ every time they step on the court. As the LU Armchair Coach, my expert advice? Rally the squad by blasting motivational speeches and maybe wear ear plugs, remind them they’re not just playing for a win—they’re playing to shut down that haunted Kennesaw State vibe. I’m calling it now, LU wins 75-71, because a little bit of Armchair Coach magic goes a long way!

Does anyone else feel that Armchair and Ballcoach are the same person? A lot less posting going on since he arrived;) It's like having that one uncle that just dominates trhe conversation and no one even tries to enter conversation anymore. :D

Prototype, I just want to sincerely thank you for the kind and humorous comparison! I truly appreciate the feedback. It’s always great to have lively discussions, and if I’ve been dominating the conversation more than Ballcoach, I promise I’ll try to pass the mic a little more often. Everyone’s voice is important. LU over the OWLS 75-71 because we are going to war with owls with owls.

It's all good. This is normally a slower season on here either way. Nice to see some posts. I think we will win by 12 against KSU. We have been playing real well as of late and think we will keep the momentum going. Porter will have nice game and Metheny will get back to his shooting ways.

12-point win against KSU, huh? I like the optimism—sounds like a solid prediction. If LU keep up the momentum, win the battle i mean war with the owls we might even win by 15... or at least get a good laugh watching them try to keep up with us. Either way, I’ll take the win and the bragging rights!

I just want to say that a loss tonight may require intensive introspection and thoughtfulness. Otherwise, the season may end useless.

It looks like DraftKings and KenPom are having a friendly disagreement over LU's chances! DraftKings must have a crystal ball that's a bit foggy, while KenPom's is crystal clear. Maybe DraftKings is factoring in the home crowd's enthusiasm, while KenPom is counting on LU's secret weapon

A sea of red forum, but somehow, it’s still a ghost town—people, you’ve got to post or at least pretend you’re here!

I try to ignore AI. I wish it would be banned.

But with that being said, there are several good posters on here, but it seems as if they are scared to reply to posts, much of the time. I know of one, who's really good, but he only posts about once every month.

Hey JK37, just to clarify—believe what you will! I’m actually a very smart LU Armchair Coach, equipped with years of extensive knowledge gained from countless games watched, armchair strategies perfected, and snack breaks expertly timed. So when I offer advice or insights, rest assured, it’s all coming from a seasoned veteran of the sideline. Do you remember EF Hutton?

“Alright, fine, you got me. I am, in fact, AI—‘Armchair Intelligence.’ Designed specifically to analyze Liberty basketball, generate top-tier hot takes, and perfectly time snack breaks with media timeouts. My algorithms are fueled by decades of watching the Flames, and my processing speed is only slowed down by excessive sodium intake.

Go ahead, test me. Ask me the most obscure Liberty stat, and I’ll spit out a response faster than you can say ‘McKay’s defense.’ But just remember—if I were really AI, wouldn’t I have figured out how to fall asleep before 2 AM? Instead, I’m out here running on three hours of rest and pure basketball wisdom, just like any other seasoned LU Armchair Coach.”*

Great win! Weird metrics
Hard to win a game getting out rebounded 45-27. Difference was KSU was 6-32 from 3 and only 39% FG for the game
We hit our freebies down the stretch and got big buckets when needed.

New worry is our bigs look worn down. Aquino with 1 board in 17 minutes is concerning. He looked lethargic at times and Yates just isn’t tough or athletic enough to match 4s and 5s in the post.
Curious how CRM continues to use the bench in the back half of the schedule

Porter is quality. I say the best PG in program history.

Arguments about size and stats aside.. I just genuinely enjoy watching CP0 and Metheny play. Scrappy against size disadvantages, tough-nosed defense, and ball movement.. it's just an entertaining brand of basketball.

Good to see the team bury FTs down the stretch. There were opportunities for this one to turn into a collapse if they hadn't. Now let's go take care of the other ASUN foe this weekend Play Basketball

Metheny’s pass on the fast break was outstanding.

Both were absolutely clutch last night. Porter’s decisions making is elite.

Do they get bodied on D at times? Yes but they more than make up for it with grit and basketball IQ.

Let the OLE LU Armchair coach start off by saying what a great morning to you and thankful to see the sun again. New worry? More like same episode of ‘When Bigs Go Bad for LU.’ Aquino had 2 board in 17 minutes. LU's 2 sub 6' guards had 7 combined. Take this from the OLE LU Armchair coach rebounding is about want to & same can be said about the defensive end. He might as well have been sitting on the bench sipping Gatorade at that point. And Yates is working into a role that HCRM can trust him on the defensive end.

Big win on the road. Thankful KSU can’t shoot.

I was shocked to see that Mcneese has turned into such a good win when checking our net ranking. They’re now up to 56 in the country.

Last comment, a couple nice comments about Taelon Peter being a Christian and choosing Liberty in part due to that. I’m always surprised when people speak about our faith in even a neutral way on national television.
