Super proud of Xander Yates tonight. I think we are figuring out our rotation some. Xander defended the post very well and made some big 3s. I think we will see his minutes increase.

Xander getting the tie up on the 7 footer had me on my feet. Definitely some improvement on the rotation. Still plenty of room for growth but definitely better. Nice win to knock off the hottest team in the conference keeping them to 60 and not giving up 50 points in the second half like we have the last 4 games.

Tie up? Pretty sure they called him on a foul. Regardless, Yates showed a little fire last night. He got a little nasty, which is part of what he was missing. Then he knocked down a couple of shots. I liked the effort, and have to give it to him.

I also think Maughmer played excellent defense. Between he and McKay, they shut down #3 Cook in the 2nd half and that may have been the difference in the game. That guy had 12 in the 1st half when Metheny was guarding him, but only 5 in the 2nd half when we adjusted.

"Xander tying up that 7-footer was like watching David take on Goliath! Our rotation is finally starting to look like a well-oiled machine—still a few squeaks here and there, but definitely better. And holding the hottest team in the conference to 60 points? That's like putting out a wildfire with a garden hose! Great win!"
