This schedule is pathetic. Can we not at least schedule more regional and other Christian school mid-majors? Will Big South and ASUN schools not schedule us non-conference either? Can we not limit the non-D1's to 2 games a year? Also, is there a consensus or rule for schools to only have 4 December games now? I've seen a few other schools only have 4 December games as well.

December is always tricky because of finals.

Yeah I was hoping our move to CUSA would help us get more mid majors on the schedule. It kind of has with the CUSA/WAC challenge and that series with FAU/Charleston but beyond that its been more of the same.

wow!! That's not a great schedule. I feel bad for the person who schedules these games - It cannot be easy!! Just glad we are in those tournaments - at least we will play someone at those.

I more disappointed in the lack of road trips to Texas.

I'd like us to limit the non-DIs to just 1, and have the 1 be an ODAC member. Also, if we're going to play weak D-I schools, can we at least schedule in-state? Like Longwood, Radford, VMI, Norfolk State, etc...

ODAC is a nice touch. So far, Ritchie has mainly desired to send program dollars to like-minded schools which share LU’s values.
The in-state low-D1’s gotta want to play us. Not sure many do. Now you’re playing with recruiting.

Perhaps Myo's influence at Longwood could be a bridge to Ritchie.
But let the record show that I am supportive to Ritchie scheduling other schools that align with our overall mission in non-conference. Yes, it hurts are SOS but is evidence that we have not become arrogant in our culture. Just my two cents.

I don't mind 1 or 2 non-D1's that are small private Christian schools. Although I wouldn't mind if local D3 schools were added either. But I still don't understand why we can't or won't schedule more regional mids, former Big South and ASUN rivals and/or other Christian school mid-majors.

There need to be two parties to agree to a contract. Most of our former ASUN & Big South conference mates have seen enough of our financial and competitive advantages. And memories run long in the scheduling game.
