I saw that. I think it was corrected though but I think that they had him turning the ball over

The attendance doesn't say much for the fan base of either school. Longwood's best case for joining the Big South are the potential rivalries and traveling fans with LU and Radford.

How another THUNDEROUS dunk from Russel tonight that again ignited the LU offense

GREAT VICTORY> THE NEXT 2 GAMES ON THE ROAD SHOULD TEST US. GOOD TO HAVE BREW IN THE MIX THIS WEEK.
BUFFALO ONLY LOST TO #2 PITT BY 3 TODAY. THAT SHOULD BE A GOOD GAME.

What ain't cool is how we have some fans who are complete morons...basically this guy from Longwood came dressed as a Lancer (nice abs, NEARLY developed a mancrush, but fortunately my wiring is STRAIGHT), with a light blue rug on top of his head. One of our fans decided to sneak up behind him and just grabbed it off and bolted up the stairs...he was ticked.

Only 2k? Seemed like a heck of a lot more people than that.
Postmortem thoughts:
The locker room is very nice. There's a picture of me in it (no joke).
Russell's first half and 1 was the highlight of my night. Dude gets his arm held so he powers it in with his other hand, rips the rim sideways, and then jogs down the court to play defense while everyone else is wondering where he's going.

It's called a foul Russ, you should get it more often. THen the next trip down, he rips a rebound away from a longwood guy. Almost pulled his arm off. I like it
Rell says "I WILL NOT BE THE ODD MAN OUT".
I really thought Dunton should have pulled Blair out of the game a few times due to his foul count. Pretty risky leaving him in there with 2 in the first half, and early 3rd in the 2nd half, and then his 4th with about 8 minutes left. Shoulda been riding pine at all of those instances. But I guess it worked.
High Point must stink because Longwood blows. They have a real atheltic guy who caught that allyoop in what seemed to be the worst lob I've ever seen.
Our student section sucks. There's this one guy who paces the front row and yells at the refs a lot. He seems pretty good, but the rest of them just sit there.
Longwood's students were dumb. But what could they cheer for? They did have the cheer of the night that I bet they never get sick of: "Our wood's longer *clap, clap, clapclapclap* Our wood's longer..."
I really don't know where Brew's mintues are going to come from. But I hope everybody stays happy.

What a difference a year makes. Longwood may be slightly worse than last year, but the Flames are for real. Medic—you are wrong about the crowd--we had a huge crowd. The “Dress as a blue seat and you get in free” promotion was brilliant--packed the place out. Please—the students can’t all be studying on a Saturday night. I can’t express my disappointment enough. I honestly thought my 3001 guess would be on the low end. (Random thought—does the FTN feed hurt attendance—as the students can stay in their dorms and watch??) As the team continues to do well and improve, the town-folks will start coming out, too—I think they were scared off because of all the HS football traffic.
1st half—had them where we wanted them. We got up by 20 and then got impatient. All we had to do was run the set offense and we would have buried them—this helped them get back into the game. I love our intensity on the boards—that shows the heart this team has.
Anyhow, I was happy to see us come out with our usual 2nd half intensity. Once we got the big lead back we got it inside a little bit more—much better patience than in the first half—and did bury them. Tyler and BJ both gave us a good lift off the bench—the experience BJ is getting this year will play great dividends the rest of this year—not to mention next few seasons when he should be starting. And Tyler, well, I think Tyler Baker’s gonna be great for the Flames.
This team has also learned how to win; now the tough part—winning with Brew and against better competition. We’ve shown that we can win guard-oriented, and Alex has shown we can rely on him, when needed. St. Francis will be tough on the road, and Buffalo, a team I felt we could beat at the beginning of the season, almost beat Pitt today, as WWJFD first reported. The students are going to see quite an exciting team when they get back.

Thanks for the props AG. I swtiched over to ESPNNEWS and they showed the final 2 minutes. Buff had a chance to win with 8 seconds left. Buff was at home which made a huge difference. The Liberty Team Room had the game on from what I hear. I think in a way they wanted Buff to win, so if LU went there and win there (help RPI maybe??)

Is it bad that I laughed?? I mean maybe the kid shouldn't of stole the wig, but the guy was an absolute idiot the whole time, if this was any other school he would've had it a lot worse...so I laughed the entire time i saw him stomping around like a little baby...call me classless, call me a bad christian...whatever...it was funny
and there was by far more people there then that attendance says....who the heck is counting people....there was easy over 3,000 people there....best attended game yet this semester....
the guys played decent, it was one of those games where I kept looking up in shock we were up by as much as we were....which really is a good sign i think.....there were stretches in which we played very well....Alex is a beast, BJ continues to impress me....I hope Brew is as good as people say...if so, we could be very good, but i am still in the wait and see mode right now

It did seem better than we've had--but not 3,000. I can't believe they're only reporting 2000 and some change.

No postman, it wasn't bad that you laughed-heck, I did too, really hard...Yes, he was an idiot-yes, he did throw a hissy fit and flipped us off. However, it would've been much better if the guy had just taken it and messed around with him some and given it back...those things aren't exactly cheap in price, especially considering what they are.
As for the attendance, do they have COMS majors counting?

good point...but the kid would've probably punched him right in the face....i am pretty sure the kid dropped it in a trash can anyways...
hey hey hey....I'm a COMS major....
ok...you're probably right...chances are it is a COMS major...haha

I'm print journalism, I took Math 115 summer of my freshman year...they tried to make me take 100, but I was like "No, I am taking 115 and being done with it." Then they were like "We don't see how you'll pass if you don't take 100 first," and I was like "Look, I'm a COMS major, I'll be taking no other classes during this time, I'll get a C and be happy with it." Sure enough, I got a C and was happy to be done with it.

For the 3rd straight game against division 1 opponents we shoot 60% plus in the second half. Technically tonight was 59.4% but I will give them the tenth of a percentage point. Great defense as a team and individually. They harrassed Sumpter into a horrible shooting night. At one point he was 1 for 10. I will have more when I do my facebook blog from SCARVISION tomorrow (hopefully).
