Something Matt Warner brought up in a recent podcast is that Spring break at KSU starts after classes Friday. Highly unlikely they will have enough students on hand Sunday to duplicate the atmosphere they had a couple of weeks ago. I also noticed that in that game the growly voiced PA guy was basically a cheerleader/hype man throughout the game. I'm not sure, but I suspect the ASUN will make them tone that down in a tournament final on national television.

The growly voice guy works for UNF. The Kenny State broadcast crew was pretty good for the last game.

I thought he was referencing the PA guy and not the broadcast crew.

Just keep in mind that a huge portion of the KSU student body lives in Metro Atlanta. Spring break or not they should have a good crowd. It would be awesome if we had a strong contingent of Atlanta area LU supporters on hand. I know that we have abundance of alumni in the area. Shout out to Scar!

Correct. He was using the arena PA system to hype up the crowd, and a few times actually lead cheers. I don't know what the ASUN's policy is, but I remember when we hosted the BSC tournament, they made it clear that tournament games were a conference function, and kept a tight rein on how things were done.

Also correct on the demographic of the KSU student body. How much of an impact Spring break has would depend on how many of them take off for Florida or Cancun as opposed to staying in the area.

From my end of the TV, it sounded like the Kenny State PA guy was doing a good job. Personally, I think we could afford to change things up some to hype up the crowd. I think the Athletics Department could learn a thing or 2 from the Hockey team game day crew on how to keep the crowd engaged. The only think the Hockey teams need is better/more speakers as the roof is too low so the spoken word is muffled much of the time.

I don't think it is sold out as of yet. I believe that they will offer tickets to the flames club and the KSU equivalent before tickets are open to everyone else.

I'm curious how many LU fans will be there. Someone bought 100 tickets for students to attend so we will have at least that many there.

Would have been nice if we could have used a couple of our buses to get folks down there. Oh well… it’s just the ASUN championship game. Hopefully we still take care of business.

This is a little off topic here and maybe a dumb question but I watched the Oral Roberts basketball game tonight, how does the summit league compare to the ASUN in terms of strength?

Thanks. I hope Oral Roberts wins their conference and we win ours and both get into the tournament. Watching Oral Roberts beat Ohio State a few years ago was great and it's good publicity for the Christian schools to do well in the tournaments

An all-Christian league is fun to ponder.
