Switching Venzant onto Blackmon midway through the first half was the difference in the game. Blackmon was getting by everyone early. That switch frustrated him and he never got going
LU’s bigs…..God bless ‘em. They just struggle making shots in the paint. But when they hit the 3 LU is nearly unbeatable

Darius is super special. But I like the way the team plays when he is not on the floor. Gives hope for the future

Really like we can still score without the 3 ball. It is important for us not to be one-dimensional, and tonight they spread the scoring out and really worked out the options for what was working. Great ball movement and the defense was stellar. Just gotta keep it up!

That dominant performance moved us up about 10 slots in kenpom to 45 which would be best all time by a decent margin. As things stand now we are likely looking at a 12 seed which seems to be the sweet spot for mid majors looking to make it to the second weekend. If we keep playing like we are we may even be able to get that elusive 11 seed.

Just some stats I thought were interesting.

We are 5th in the nation in scoring margin with a 16 point lead per game.
2nd in assists/turnover ratio.
7th in assists per game with 18.
5th in effective FG percent (not entirely sure how that's different than regular fg%).
6th in scoring defense.
2nd in 3 pointers per game.
27th in turnover margin with 3.5 more per game.

Effective FG percentage weighs 3pt shots more since they’re worth more. 2/6 from three is the same as 3/6 from 2. Basically it’s points per shot.

Their uniforms have been bad since the 2019 season. Although, these script ones are better than the previous ones. The yellow cream ones are bad.

You also have 4 empty possessions compared to 3. What does the other team do with that possession? They get a vote too.
