Thankfully our guys will get a few days to catch their breath and rest. We will be back in action on Thursday in the Tourney Quarterfinals.

With all of Darius' heroics, the play of the game may have been Venzant's steal when we were down 2 with 4 seconds left in regulation. KSU had been making their FTs, and we really needed to get the ball back without fouling. He did it, and Darius took it from there. Happy for him because he seemed to have hit a wall the last few games, getting abused on defense after doing so well there for most of the year. Good to see him get the big dunk in OT as well.

When was the last time we won a game where we were outscored by 24 from 3? Never?

Everybody in the house knew McGee was going to score inside, but all KSU could was foul him, and he made every single free throw down the stretch and into overtime! His parents were sitting right behind the Old Men's Club, and I was thrilled for them.

I’ve been hoping for Venzant breakaway dunks all year based on his HS highlights. He delivered in a big way tonight. Also, if McGhee had been able to finish his two big attempts instead of getting fouled, he’d be on sports center tonight. He went in hard.
