ASOR posted a tweet re an all D1 Commonwealth hoops tourney. Sounds far fetched...However, tyndal23 in all of his Great Brain inspired schemes, may have latched on to something. ( 1st or 3rd person interchangeable )

1. Verify VA NIL and NCAA rules ( ncaa doesn’t even know what rules they have right now )
2. Commonwealth only, so there is no mass law search required to accommodate out of stAte teams
3. Make it the opening tourney of the season, make it a party with concerts around it ( maybe ) - but point is to make it a national hoops buzz.
4. Prize pool that has a minimum ( $1 million, but no max ).
5. 1st round 25k appearance fee to loser, 50k to winner ( split by school and team roster ).
6. Advance and collect more.
7. MVP individual $ cash awards for offense, defense, overall.
8. ESPN or whoever bids the most for partnership for even mo $.
9. Not sure LU is the 1st choice for venue, but with hoops budgets strained, this is the type of thing that gets all the schools playing each other in VA.

And of course 10% of all proceeds go to Dickie V Foundation.

Happy to be commish if needed. Good idea ASOR...

An early sign that the post is not worth reading.

Ha. Is it possible to see sponsorship rev share to players for all these neutral site tournaments? Next phase coming is a Player Union and my above scenario will be reality somewhere.
