Really odd to see this many turnovers from a RMK team

Been weird this year. Seems so anyway

Extremely sloppy second half but lucky for us the dominate first half was enough for us to come out on top 91-84.

Full court press is our Achilles heel. Don’t know why opposing teams don’t do it from the opening tip.

Agreed. Think we’re going to see it more and more. Only reason some teams may not do it from the tip is that they’re just not made for it. Going against pressure wire-to-wire against, say, Jack State? That’s a scary thought because of their length. Conference tourney could be a war.

McKay has obviously recognized the need for ball-handlers by burning Moore’s redshirt (even though he barely plays) and having Colin Porter reclassify.
I suspect more full-court press would mean we see more of Moore. I’d also suspect we’d see Warfield and Venzant in press-break mode getting some easy buckets slashing to the rim. I think if we expected to see it regularly, we’d be able to take advantage of it.

Against the press and trying to hold a lead, McGhee was on the bench. Should we be reading anything into that? Seemed he had a few of the TO’s, but still a superb FT shooter and confident ball handler would be valuable late game - I would think.

. . . .and EKU was missing 3 starters in their lineup, including their leading scorer. A W is a W. Beverly (NC State transfer) may be out awhile and may or may not be back for tournament time. They'll be a tough out and can see why they were picked 2nd in preseason.

He had 6. , and his turnover issues are by no means limited to this game. He really needs to value the ball more. He also missed a FT, which is a rare event, but may have been the last straw in him getting pulled.
