Plenty of unanswered questions heading into this one.

Yeah. The only thing we really learned Thursday is that Moore and Spell are red-shirting. How good the young guys looked against an NCCAA team doesn't mean much, and we already knew Darius can score and Rode is a basketball Swiss Army knife.

And it wasn’t an upset.

Waiting for Ballcoach to say that LSU was "over-rated." 8)

Something unanswered that we anticipate from Kyle is whether or not he emerges as a legitimate scoring option.

According to him there is no such thing as an over-rated SEC team.

I want KR to be one of our ball-handlers. From the few opportunities he’s had, he’s shown himself capable of running the offense. We can stick with strength and have McGhee off-ball, win-win for me.

Safe bet that Rode won't play that role.

The biggest challenge for Rode and McDowell is to fill the leadership and clutch shooting void vacated by Cuffe. That's easier said than done. Most of it will rest on Rode's shoulders IMO.

Really? I know sometimes the starting lineup is not necessarily indicative of who will play what roles in the entire game, but if you look at Thursday's starters, who else would handle the ball when it's not in McGhee's hands? Rode was second on the team in assists last year and first in assist/to ratio of anyone playing significant minutes.

Not really sure if you guys are just trying to be a little mischievous or not? But we won't have to worry about that. This team has plenty of guards.

8 point dogs for us. I like us against the spread, but maybe I'll jinx it.

In watching the game in person it seemed McGhee was playing the 2 where he could get more shots off and Rode and McDowell were sharing ball handling responsibilities. Looked like PG by committee until Dobbs came into the game.

Not mischievous, I just trust Rode’s decision-making. He’s shown himself to be a capable playmaker with the ball in his hands, I think he would be good at initiating the offense. He’s not gonna cross anyone up or beat a lot of defenders off the dribble, but I trust him more than anyone else on the roster to make the right play.

Dobbs is starting tonight, so a more traditional lineup, with Rode & Robinson at the forwards, Preston in the middle, and of course, Darius.

I'm not sure I fully get what value Dobbs brings. He's small and unathletic and not a superior shooter. I like his attitude so I feel bad saying that.

By January we’ll have a different line-up. Like Dobbs or not, he knows the schemes and will be steady.

Agreed. Can't even handle the ball well. Always goes to his right.

Seeing Efon Reid after following his recruiting has been interesting. Very raw.

DM just needs to hit some shots and we are fine.

Yeah, only down three with only one three pointer made. Rough shooting so far.

Can't let them fast break on a make. McGhee ties it up though with a 3.

Looks like he caught fire. Need to get some other guys involved, though.
