Tough matchup. Not an impossible task but it will take a near perfect game for us to win. I do think our style will at least keep us in the game.

I think it's a much better match-up than say West Virginia. They are not huge or especially physical. Despite the height disparity, I'm sure we will go with Cuff on Cunningham, at least to start. Probably use Shiloh some on him when he comes in.

Outside of the box, McDowell actually matches up pretty well physically. I think Cuffee would be up for the challenge, but I wouldn’t expect much from him offensively.

Some quick googling tells me the Cowboys play a good bit of zone. That's not bad for us (normally).

Rode does really well facilitating from the free throw line against a zone. He’s going to be very important in this one. He’s another that might see some time guarding Cunningham.

I don’t think the NCAA has announced them yet.

I dislike OK Sate very much, but I respect them even more. They are BALLING OUT right now, their HC is a rising STAR, and his guys are playing for him.

I believe they are going to come out with a MASSIVE chip on their shoulder for being waaaaaay under-seeded by the committee. This a 2 seed on the 4 line. I really don’t see how the committee botched them so badly.

LU may be able to keep it close. But it will take an out of this world three-point shooting performance and a shockingly off night for Cunningham AND Liekely for LU to pull the upset.

Oklahoma State couldn’t have gotten a worse 13 draw than Liberty, but should’ve never been a 4. Liberty couldn’t have gotten a worse four draw than a team that has EVERY claim to be a 2.

I've been looking at CBS and ESPN bracketology since before the ASun tourney and Ok State had been a common entry on the 4 line, fwiw. Purdue, WVU and Ok St. have been the most common listed as our opponent.

Sometimes, NCAA Selection Committees make Congress and even Governor of Virginia look good. Committee has tough job, but there are some selections that make you wonder if they're throwing darts at a board with team names on it.

Agree.
Our pace of game will take the Cowboys out of their normal rhythm. Slow things down, take high percentage shots, make our possessions count.
They don't have a nightmare of a big man like Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, so I don't think we get eaten alive in the paint.

Might be the only game on TV for the first 45 min. The game in front of it starts 2 hrs prior, and the next game after tip-off (UNC/Wisc) starts 45 min later.

Mapping out my strategy for streaming from here in the DR. Already got my VPN, and it looks like the 7 day free trial on Hulu+Live TV will get me through the weekend. For a while there it looked like I might actually be able to kill 2 birds with one stone and get there in person while also getting vaccinated for Covid, but the situation on the ground here has made it impractical.

PH, I don't have time to ciper the brackets and list the committee's mistakes.

Then how could you make such a statement if you haven't yet had the time to review the brackets.

This year was probably the toughest year for the committee to seed teams appropriately. There has been so many different variables.
