That is a total embarrassment. At the very least, they could have those 2 semi-finalists play each other in what would be the "real final". There is a simple way to avoid all this nonsense. I totally don't get why it does not seem like it is even being considered.

FGCU vs J'Ville games cancelled due to Covid issues with the Dolphins.

This will mean that FGCU will enter the ASUN tournament as a 4 or 5 seed having played only 8 of their 16 scheduled games. Looks like there is a chance that J-Ville may not be able to play in the tourney.

What happens if teams have to drop out of the tourney?
Gumbart addressed that. Can't remember all the details, but the gist of it is that all the remaining teams seeded below them move up a slot.

I suspect cancellation is still on the table, and one of the 2 "host schools" having Covid issues at this late date certainly doesn't help. Obviously, that would work out fine for us, but it's still not what you want to see.

So if Bellarmine isn’t eligible for the Tournament why not just declare LU the conference champ and be done with it? Otherwise the ASUN risks losing their Auto bid. Which seems silly

No risk of losing the auto bid. If Bellarmine wins Saturday and the tournament is cancelled, it will go to the runner-up, which would be us. Conferences have almost total discretion over who gets their bid. Not sure if the NCAA has ever closed this loophole, but it used to be they could literally vote on who they want regardless of record.
