I was just trying to put a context on why it landed as such. Honestly there has never been a time in our school's history when teh quality of opponent in home games has been less important IMHO. Then again I am in Texas and not holding season tickets.

They do get a pass on the schedule this season due to the scamdemic when you consider that they have to please this Governor, the NCAA & the ASUN and not really have much for attendance/ticket sales. However, this is still an annual complaint of us scheduling schools most folks have never heard of. They shouldn't schedule more than 2 of these games a year, and they definitely should be during Christmas break. But these games are not how you build a fan base.

Difficult to build fan base in years past, because of parking situation.
Now we will never know how much the new parking garage helps basketball attendance.

The parking was horrible. The new deck will help immensely.

A 10 minute walk won’t kill you.

What will keep people away is when they complete botch traffic flow by making everyone in the entire campus leave by only having one road of egress like they did for the ASUN championship game.

Never understood why parking on college campuses is "almost considered a sin and a crime".

Should be "first come, first served" approach, except for a few exceptions.

So why does the conference champion have 5 sets of games on the road and 4 at home? Haven't seen schedules of the other schools but some must have the flip side of this schedule.

Damien quotes Ritchie saying "5 of our top 11 have never played for Liberty."

https://newsadvance.com/sports/college/ ... 254db.html

We know from previous reports that Parker and Jackson would be 2 of those 5. The other 3 would come from these 4:

Abii
Dobbs
Maide
Warfield

I would think Maide has the inside track to be one of them because he had a year in the program, but not necessarily. This also means that one scholarship returner isnot in the top 11. Maybe more, since Ritchie has a lot of confidence in walkon Colton Reed

Interesting schedule update/upgrade. We will now be going to the HOF Classic in KC on 11/28-29. Facing South Carolina in the first round and then either TCU or Tulsa. Northwestern was originally scheduled for this and apparently opted out, presumably over Covid concerns. Bad for them. Great for us.

Guessing he got the honors because he is from Kansas (although I'm sure Sly will say he is really a Texan).

Looks like it’s Abii Dobbs and Warfield. Hyped for this week!

Sounds like Maide will be at the end of the bench along with Price. Look no further to see where we might pick up a scholarship or 2 this Spring to bring in some size to go along with Peebles and Venzant.

The other thing that stood out is that Jackson has looked the best among the Freshmen, but he is down right now with an undisclosed injury. Hopefully nothing serious.

So who do we project as the starting 5? Based on last year, I’d pencil in McGhee, Cuffee, Rode, and Robinson, at least for the start of the year. Who is number 5?
