Their new coach, Donnie Jones, looks to have turned things around for the Hatters in a sudden hurry with probably the best recruiting class in the conference. All 5 FR play quite a bit and 3 start. This may well be our toughest opponent going forward after this year. It's starting to look like the ASUN is a more balanced conference this year, with only KSU being an almost automatic win.

Liberty leads 16-7 just past the midway point of the first half. Caleb picked up two early fouls and has been on the bench.

This is an embarrassment. There goes the at large.
Ritchie needs to fix something cause we’re broken.

Yikes. That was terrible. We don't have to worry about an at large. We are in third place. 14 seed at best.

Ouch.....impossible to win with that second half shooting.

This, my friends, is the danger of a weak outside of conference schedule. False sense of optimism. Something has felt off the past couple of weeks and I'm not sure what.

We hardly feed the post anymore which I don’t understand. I love Ritchie but this dribbling around and shooting 30 foot jumpers is ugly basketball.

Probably most embarrassing loss ever. 13 points in 2nd half is beyond terrible.

No disrespect to stetson as they have a good coach. But to lose an 11 point lead at half time and then lose to a team that talent wise is not even on our planet is ridiculous. Have our boys been reading too many press clippings about themselves?
I do not doubt that we will correct our mistakes. Here is to win #20 next week.

Shaping up to be the most overrated team in program history. That right there was the worst half of basketball in the mckay era for sure.
Lack of depth and 3 pt shooting has reared its head the last couple games.
Not a word about at large hopes. They absolutely dont deserve an at large.

Offense is stagnant , too methodical, predictable and mechanical. We play offense like the male version of the Stepford Wives (young guys, you'll have to look that up). We are far to hesitant to attack and, at times, play with a lack of urgency. Things have got to change! We have some talented players who need to step up and take charge on that'd of the court. This was embarrassing.

This team is slow. Let #2 handle the rock more. He is the only one that seems to be quick enough to break down the defense. Instead the team just slowly walks up court and allows the defense to set up and #2 just runs from corner to corner. Can't just Fall in love with the three.

Don't get me wrong. This is an embarrassing loss. But guys like Cuffee and Georgie shooting 1-7 and 1-8 from three on mostly open shots really killed us. I don't think that happens too often to this team.
Yes, we're not an at large. Expectations have changed. That being said, I think we recuperate and win the conference by a few games.

The sky is not falling. We've lost 2 games in a row for the first time since we were in the Big South, and just our 3rd game this year. I dare say that it is very hard to be near perfect for 30+ games, no matter what conference we play in. The computer model rankings and AP voters do not take that into consideration, especially from a low-major conference team that also happens to be us. Throw in the fact that we've been on the road most of the season. We'll be fine, and we'll mop the floor with Stetson and UNF in the Vines.

You're right, but didn't you say we had no shot of an at large even with one loss?

LSU has outplayed what I thought they were so I’m good being wrong on that one.
After Thursday we were predicted to be first four out.

This is where we will see how good of a Coach RMK is. I think he’s pretty good. He will right the ship. It’s the Dog Days of the season, things happen

Our only path this year is through the ASun tournament.
You're saying we go 31-0 in the regular season and don't get an at large. No way.
I don’t think we do. It’ll be controversial but given our league being down and lack of quality teams on our schedule, there will be justification for not letting us in.
I mean, somehow you said an undefeated LU team doesn't get in, but you still thought we had a shot after two regular season losses?
I think you're one of those fans who says "it's over" when your team gets down in the first quarter, but you still watch until the end because you know when you said it's over you didn't believe it. You say there's no chance because you're afraid if you admit hope you'd have your heart broken if it didn't happen. You pretend it's realism, but really you're just afraid to put yourself out there again.
I understand the feeling, but I think it's time to have hope again! Lol

Or... as I said in the post above, I was wrong and LSU turned out to be better than we thought they’d be and we could’ve survived that loss had we gotten upset in the ASUN tournament.
After Thursday, I thought our at large chances were done but I understood why others thought differently.
After today those chances are unquestionably gone.
The funny thing about you claiming I was the guy who said things were over after one quarter is I’ve been the guy on twitter telling people to chill after one half.
