Should be a great game and with the students back I expect a big crowd. I'll be making the trek down from NJ - hope to see some of you there!

Nothing is ever guaranteed, but make no mistake, this is barely a shadow of the Lipscomb team we went tooth and nail with last year. No Matthews. No Peppers. No Marberry. No Cooper. No Casey Alexander. They are 7-10 overall and 2-2 in conference, but the 2-2 is misleading, as the 2 wins came against bottom feeders Stetson and KSU while the losses were to FGCU and UNA, 2 teams we have beaten by double digits.

Speaking of conference records, UNF just lost at home to NJIT 78-66, dropping them to 3-1 and putting us all alone in first at 4-0

I was told at TRBC this morning that the football team will be honored at halftime of Lipscomb game. Also fans can get photo taken with Cure Bowl trophy.

The Vines Center should be a sellout for this game.

Ballcoach, you would have heard that sooner, if you would have come to the LU game last night instead of riding your bicycle.

Has the Vines Center EVER sold out for a basketball game??? :dontgetit

I cannot believe no one posted it on message board, before me. Should have been posted last night.

Thanks for the Intel @ballcoach15. I'm not sure why it wasn't posted earlier either but I'm not sure why that matters.

It's a big deal in my opinion. Honoring first bowl winning team.

I certianly agree and I'm glad you provided the info. It's good info. Its your additional commentary that seemed unnecessary but its your schtick so I've learned to deal with it

To answer your question @Cider Jim I couldn't find any data to indicate a game has ever been sold out at the Vines. The Vines should be rockin on Saturday. I wish I lived closer so I could be there.

The fullest I remember the Vines Center in recent memory was when we had an 11:00 a.m. game, and students were given an excused absence to attend. Does anybody remember a year of that game, who we played, or what the attendance was?

That was against Clemson a few years back. Jeff Barber still AD but RM was back as coach.

The Virginia Tech game in 1992 had 8,650, not sold out but relatively close.

I recall a very large Tech crowd.

There was a women's/mens double header in late 90s that had huge crowd. If my memory is correct women played Radford and men played VT. That was huge crowd.

Ballcoach, if the Vines Center doesn't sell out playing Power 5 schools like Clemson and VA Tech, do you really expect the Vines Center to sell out against Lipscomb?

2009. We scheduled that when we had Seth before he left. Pretty sure it was Dale’s first year. We got smoked.

It started at 10am and was one of the longest working days of my life but also one of my favorite days working at Liberty.

We've never been 18-1 before. Several factors to consider:

Team's record
First game with student body on campus in over a month.
Honoring football team.
Get photo with Cure Bowl Trophy.

Agreed it should be a big crowd. You’re calling for largest ever. That simply irrational.

It is going to be an awesome crowd and this team deserves it. That is really all that matters.

And you think this game will have more because people can have their picture taken with the Cure Bowl trophy?

There’s also a hockey game at 7pm. I’m totally torn as to which to attend.

Lipscomb's two main scorers are:
Ahsan Asadullah (so) 6'8"- center
K.J. Johnson (fr) 6'1" - guard

Our post defense and defensive rebounding will be keys.
