They won't make it easy for us. Hopefully there is a great turn out for tonight's game. Our fearless leader won't be there but hopefully the students and some locals will give this team the support this team deserves.

Stop being so critical. Defending EVERYTHING Trump says on Twitter is far more important than what the basketball team of your university does!!!

He is attending an event about the opioid crisis so I don't want to be overly critical.

That was not a flagrant 2.

Ended the half strong. It'll be important to start the half strong.
Also, this isn't as fun when others aren't posting. Where is everybody?

That was a good first half for the Flames. I'm in agreement that Bell's foul was a flagrant, but should not have resulted in an ejection. I could understand it if the tone of the game was different and players were going after each other, but that seemed to be a reach. Jacksonville is down right now. It's time to put them away early in the 2nd half.
* Postie, I was at that game in 1994 also, but I never did do the face paint thing. That picture brought back great memories.

I'm kind of surprised with how well we are taking care of business. I'm not use to that.

Thats what we needed to do. Great game other than about a 8 min stretch in first half. We have to cut those down from here forward. Cant go through those long droughts and expect to win against top comp.

It was Bell of Jacksonville who had the flagrant 2, not Myo.

I wonder that about softball, baseball and women's basketball. Only Forum alive now seems to be football recruiting. Which with signing day months away, doesn't make too much sense.

It seemed as if there was excessive force pulling him backwards. Don't know, but if James had hit his head, he might not have played again this year based on concussion protocols. Why wouldn't such an act be a flagrant 2. The NCAA manuals says that "severe or extreme contact with an opponent while the ball is live" is a flagrant 2 and James certainly wasn't just pushed off balance.

As quick as the refs made their decision, they must have seen something pretty conclusive on the review. Or maybe I'm just used to the refs for the P5 conferences taking an enternity to to review minor stuff.

I thought the tug was stealthy and flagrant. Could have caused a serious injury

It was certainly a flagrant 1. Here are the actually definitions:
A flagrant 1 foul (men's) or unsportsmanlike foul (women's) involves excessive or severe contact during a live ball, including especially when a player "swings an elbow and makes illegal, non-excessive contact with an opponent above the shoulders". This offense includes the former "intentional foul" of fouling an opposing player to prevent an easy breakaway score. In women's basketball only, the unsportsmanlike foul also includes contact dead-ball technical fouls. The penalty for a flagrant 1 or unsportsmanlike foul is two free throws and a throw-in for the opposing team at the out-of-bounds spot nearest the foul
A flagrant 2 foul (men's) or disqualifying foul (women's) involves unsportsmanlike conduct that is extreme in nature, including "when a player swings an elbow excessively and makes contact above the shoulders", or excessive or severe contact during a dead ball (men only). Fighting is also a flagrant 2 or disqualifying foul. The penalty for a flagrant 2 or disqualifying foul is immediate ejection of the offender, plus two free throws and a throw-in for the opposing team at the division line opposite the scorer's table.
