Stetson has not lost fewer than 20 games since Williams arrived 6 seasons ago.

Look up who the coach was before him, and where that coaching staff is now.

Would not write this game off. I saw Edward Waters play, that dude can ball... And they gave him a game.

Interesting that they beat unca and then lost to longwood. I have not checked the bsc since we left. Apparently the bizzaro world big south killed and replaced their teams after we left.

Asheville is terrible. It’s weird.

And they lost to VMI, who used to be in the Big South years ago.

Asheville is 2-13 while Longwood and G-W led the way in the non conference with 10 wins each. Winthrop is in their customary position at the top

Coach left and all their best players either transferred or graduated. The new coach will do well to be mediocre in 2 more years.

Yeah...even though I knew they would struggle this year, it is still strange to see them be this bad (they lost by double-digits to D2 Fayetteville State and don't have a D1 win yet).
They are in dead last in the new NET rankings too...

Wow, I knew they were bad, but that is EPIC awfulness.

That's why I said it's weird. I expected them to struggle. I didn't expect them to be this bad.

I just reviewed NET Rankings for the first time. Several ASUN schools toward the bottom of rankings.

Stetson sits at 345 in the NET, just 8 spots above UNCA.

We have now moved ahead of Lipscomb in the NET after their narrow win over #297 Jacksonville.

When it was first announced that we were moving to the ASUN I took some flack for saying it was a top heavy league that was really not much of a step up from the BSC in MBB. With FGCU "rebuilding" (to put it kindly) if we had not joined, the ASUN would have only one team higher than 143. The BSC has 3. Both conferences have 3 teams in the 300 plus category.

One conference wanted LU as a full member and the other did not.

Don't get me wrong; I was and am all for the move. I mainly was pointing out that the ASUN in MBB is not the daunting task some were making it out to be. WBB, baseball and softball may well be another matter

I for one thought MBB would be much more daunting

ASUN is basically a P6 when looking at softball.

Maybe so, but I believe Dot's troops are more than ready for the challenge. WBB looks to be another matter and baseball remains to be seen.
