My first reaction was to laugh, but the more I think about it the more annoyed I get.

Granted, I did not watch the broadcast so I did not hear the whole context, but it seems like Bill should be able to separate his feelings regarding the university from his opinion of our ball club. I hope he gets called out for diminishing our guys’ performance, but my guess is he will not.

Bill Walton is famous as a broadcaster because he spouts his opions on things like this. People either love him or hate him for it, but his draw is you’ll never know what he’s gonna say next.

In the game Bill was doing color on when he made those comments, the Bruins destroyed Stanford by almost 30 in a total dunkfest. They are clearly much better than they showed against us, and they probably made the right move in canning Alford when they did, but I do believe we deserve some credit for beating them by the margin we did. Walton is to the left of Bernie Sanders, so I'm not at all surprised at his attitude toward the school.

What's funny is he says that the lost to LU has caused a stain for the institution of UCLA. UCLA has caused a stain for themselves with their involvement with the C.I.A and Military Intelligence ( Project MK Ultra on human and animal experimentation). But hey, they won many championships and is a P5 school, so who cares . Louis Jolyon West and other scientists would be proud of Walton's gullible statement.

He has no clue about what’s going on at Liberty. He like so many on the far left (probably further on the left then Bernie) views Liberty based on the actions of Jr.

Bill once gave his broadcasting partner Pasce? I think I butchered his name, a copy of one of Richard Dawkins book because he knew he was a devout believer.

Lastly Bill shouldn’t be talking considering 10 of those titles were bought by Sam Gilbert. Yeah UCLA is pure class

I’m curious what his thoughts are on BYU considering they kick out known LGBT students and harasses African Americans (history of racism) and students that are not Mormons.

A school like UCLA should never lose at home to an Atlantic Sun team, regardless of what the school's non-athletics history is, so I could see the reasoning behind his comment. It's like when Kentucky lost at home to VMI during the Billy Gillispie years.

The comment was made for religious and political reasons.
