A back-to-back 23-9 Final Four team ... of the USCAA (The United States Collegiate Athletic Association is a national organization for the intercollegiate athletic programs of 81 mostly small colleges, community colleges and junior colleges, across the United States.) Interesting add.
No surprise with Trevecca Nazarene. Former Flames assistant Omar Mance is their new HC, and it will continue a tradition of scheduling our non-D1 games with smaller christian schools.

I thought the ASUN caps conference members with 2 non d1 games? kind of disappointing seeing 3 of them on the schedule.

Just looked at FGCU's schedule from last year, and they had three nons. I remember hearing a conference capping it at 2, but I can't remember which one it was. Thought it might have been the SoCon, but Wofford played three nons last year.

I am about 20 minutes from the Naval Academy so I don't see why I wouldn't make it to that game. Pretty excited about that.

I like Ritchie´s rationale for scheduling this tough. He seems to be reading the attitude of the team as wanting to be challenged, and they certainly will be. Another 20 win season may be tough to come by, but we should be battle hardened for conference play.
I´m not among those who think the ASUN is a huge step up overall over the BSC (in MBB, that is. It will be in some other sports.) Lipscomb and UFGC will be tough, but the conference is top heavy. I think we can be in the top part.

Battle Hardened? The ASun is R&R compared to that OOC.

I think the program is ready to take the next step but there are still a lot of questions going into the year. The A-Sun is an unknown and so it will be interesting how the season plays out. Fresh opponents all year so that will be fun. I am looking forward to basketball season and think we could have some success this year.
