Coach Dunton announced that Monday is going to be a "Flame Fans Practice"
Anyone who is on Flame Fans and has any doubts about the team or want to see a practice Monday is your day. Coach Dunton told me to tell everyone on here about it, so come on out.

Location hasnt been determined yet, but i should know later today so i will let everyone know, it will be either Schilling or Vines.

My point from the above post: I'm selling this one, Riali. Good one...show up and watch practice...not the actual games in which he is judged by.

Don't get me wrong. It is great PR, and is a good effort to get the critics/haters out to see what goes on. Remember, gang, even if you don't like the man, it is still our team and LU students representing the university. If you're not going to support the man, at least support the program.

I don't think going to practice it supposed to change anything. I just think RD wants you the chance to complain to his face so he can address your concerns specifically so everybody can have well informed opinions.

All I will say is that I have talked to the man before and I have also heard the other side of the story from those unquestionalby in the know. It will be an interesting year. Go Flames!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am not going!!!!!!! They can have all of these great practices and then not play with any passion or intensity. When they do something on the court then maybe......... nah not going to their practices.

man, I can understand not being able to attend but are you trying to slap him in the face sportscritic? I'm pretty sure the man is just trying to extend an olive branch. You don't have to be so intense with your "no". He's not going to strap you to a chair and torture you until you like him.

If you thought we were good, would you go to the practice? I don't really see the difference.

OK The Iverson quote was PRICELESS. I have been to his practices. I am not sure what he is trying to accomplish with this, other than to say he tried. The bottom line is, he has been around long enough for people to make informed decisions about his tenure. will one practice change that? Unless he comes out with some sort of ephiphany, then not sure you'll see anything new. With the exception of practice gear!!
Having said that, if you have never been, then GO. It won't go very far in changing your mind but hey, you can at least say "I was there".
On a last note, I think you can make a distinction between staff and program. I KNOW that players STILL love "The U", but are not so enamored with the coaches. Is it possible to like one and not the other?

it is probably a dilemma for you and dickens with your bent of destructiion and negativity. I bet those
who take Coach D up on it will find how he was 31-15 in his first three seasons in conference play. Don't count the interim year when he salvage us from embarrassment and fell just short of the finals. The critics can have their day but I thought the team played with intensity and purpose tonight. They will
continue to improve just like every team Dunton has coached.
