Obviously we didn't finish well down in Charleston. But now we have a chance to add another conference victory on our home floor.

Pretty much a must win game if we want to make the tourney. Hopefully we will have a few fans but the snow continues to fall here and Lynchburg will be shut down soon.

We need a win and pray that Asheville can beat VMI at The Pit, today.

Now, has anyone addressed the fact that the club hockey team will probably outdraw our NCAA basketball team, tonight?

Wish has been granted. VMI loses at home to Asheville that drops them to 2-10. Keydets close with 3 of 4 on the road. If Liberty gets two wins, the Flames can feel safe.

Now it's our turn.
THE BUCS STOP HERE!

I'm sure the Vines Center will be a ghosttown tonight with the 2 worst teams in the Big Slouch conference squaring off at 7PM.

Better crowd tonight than for the UNCA game. Just an awful first half. Blair is 1-9 and Russell Monroe leads LU with six points. Russell Monroe. Really?

This is seriously the worst college basketball I've ever watched, supplanting that Northern Arizona-Boise State game where neither team wanted to break 40 points a few years back. What a wretched performance.

Just what I expected with those two teams hitting the hardwood.

61-45:

It can't be any uglier than that UNC-A and LU big South semi-final coach D's interim year...

16 points to Charleston Southern at home? Absolutely embarassing.

It doesn't get too much worse than that my good friends.

Since when did Ken Karcher take over as the head coach of the men's team?

You're not supposed to lose to Charleston Southern. Time to send coach packing.

Obviously this was not one of our better performances of the season. There's no sugarcoating the result.

That said, its probably best to move on and focus on Monday's game.

I wish randy would have gotten 2 T's tonite, i tried to get one for him, the ref turned around and put his finger over his mouth....then it was really on.....LB's crew was giving that little short one a run for his money...something about the summer league LB was in that ref got fired on the spot for being so bad...lol, i'd like to know that story

Bottom line, you cant expect to win playing like that and you cant put the blame on the officials....it couldnt be march soon enough...and i'm sayin it time and time again, there will be SEVERAL players that will be asked to not return...and that couldnt come soon enough

I managed to miss the whole thing- just walked in the door. We are NOT eliminated from the post season as of yet, correct? (due to the VMI loss)

That is correct. But this was certainly one of the games that appeared winnable coming in.

we'll just have to keep the faith then- hope to finish strong, and at the same time we're all looking forward to next year's possibilities as well.

This is getting laughable... not losing... just us trying to keep our heads up over it :)

as oppose to what? holding our heads down and saying we suck? we all know that, including the coach's...it's just a matter of trying to bring things that may help not say things we all know like "we suck" that gets us no where

In fairness though HMO... it doesn't get us anywhere talking about players that need to be run out of Lynchburg either... at least not until the season is over. If we are going to support the team, we have to support the team we have now not the team we may want to have next year.

HMO... did someone steal your login? You are on another thread right now talking about "I pray only 2 return" and you're saying that this thread is trying to 'bring something that will help'?

Seriously... I don't think anyone is advocating saying "we suck" but i'd say that's a step up from "I pray that 13 players leave our University" C'mon HMO :)

All I'm saying is that if you look through the game threads we are faced with a common theme. We need someone big... we need a PG... Larry Blair is amazing and ... we lost again. Then we all say "Well, lets make a run for the tourney." I'm just observing that it's funny to see the same things each game. We could just copy a thread and change the game numbers for the most part. It's OKAY to me that we all support the team... it's just kinda funny to me that's all ... breathe in, breathe out...

LoL.....well sticking with what I've been preaching the whole time with only say things that will make us better not bring us down....wouldnt only bringing two players back be a positive for us?

I know I should watch my sarcasm, it just sucks for everyone...even hearing LB talk about it, just stinks...I mean LB should be able to leave this program with his head held high and be proud of everything he's done while being here at LU but thats hard to do this year from a team aspect, even when you ask him about attendance or something he'll just say why should they come out to this? the players keep it real and have a GREAT understanding of whats going on and aren't blind to anything

I'm surprised that 2,000 fans showed up to witness the carnage. With that performance it might be more than the players who will be asked not to come back to Lynchburg.

We can't get that much to see a good team play in the Vines Center like WBB. I am definitely shocked that this many people would see crap play like this. Where Blair goes so does the team. Nobody stepped up on this team.
