Coach D is in DC looking at a few players
Coach Jones was at the LCA Vs. HC game (HS senior is TOUGH and LCA has a JR. thats pretty though too)
Coach Alex was at the Fork Union game they were playin some team from NC that has a PG that is supposed to be tough and a few schools want him but I think he said something about wanting to be a Pastor so maybe we have a inside track

I'm just waiting for the news we have a 7 footer named Aluma Jr. or something ;)

The Senior that you are reffering to is Mr.Mikko Koivisto who plays for Holy Cross (he scored 29), a great shooter and the Junior is David Dulkys from LCA (he scored 25).. they both can shoot the rock. Mikko is one of Buddy Mason's boys and will more than likely not land at LU or even consider it. Coach Patterson really has LCA playing some great ball 2 wins over Carlise and now a win over H.C in the last two weeks, they are peaking at the right time. Coach Rocco deserves alot of credit for hiring John...

I am glad they are looking at Mikko. He is a good kid that can really shoot and would fit right in with Liberty. He is a European player about 6-4 and can really shoot. Hit 12 3's in a game last year. I have gone out to see him play a couple of times and I have liked what I saw. Holy Cross's coach is a good friend of mine Roy Roberson (huge Steelers fan btw). Roy told me Mikko is pretty good in school too and that he wouldn't mind playing close to home (whatever that means. In state? driving distance from Lynchburg? back yard? not sure really). I hope we get him. The Jr at LCA is really athletic and according to Brian Woodson, had a chance to play on his team in Lithuania with the pros! Woodson said that the high majors like him. David used to scrimmage with Woodson in Lithuania and more than hold his own. Glad to see we are looking at those 2 guys.

I give it a 99% chance HC boy doesnt come to LU, for whatever reason Buddy wont send his kids within a 100mile radius of us...I hope one day a relationship can be formed

As far as David goes Scar (you may already know) but that is the kid that David Beniot brought over with his program RACE (yall heard me speak about what RACE does on Fire House)....I tell you what I saw him play at Lynchburg College and he had one of the best spin moves i've ever seen...Hairy Williams (former flame) and myself just looked at each other b/c it was such a athletic move

Not to re open long post threads, but let's say Buddy and RD are not exchanging Christmas cards. There are SEVERAL reasons why, Buddy is a life long friend of mine, and as long as RD is there Buddy will NEVER "steer" one of "his" players to LU. HC however, does have a real tall kid that, seeing how we need some inside help, and that may be who we are recruiting. I must say I hope not, the kid looks like he has all the talent in the world, but not much desire. He would be Dee II.

HOLD - I was just agreeing with you, nothing more. As for the tall kid I was saying THAT is who they may have been recruiting, not the foreign kid. HOWEVER, the tall kid has an attitude and lacks motivation. If they ARE recruiting him, IMHO, it would be a big mistake. Hope that is clearer

I know the coach at HC pretty well and I have seen them play a number of times and the tall kid that D Edcil was talking about is just 15 years old and is 6-8. He doesn't play with a lot of passion but is talented for sure. Given 2 more seasons of hoops I would say that he could be a good Big South Player by the time he graduates or he could end up being high mid major depending on his work ethic. He has size and skills. That is a good start for a 15 year old.
