Santa Clara is closer to home for Brock, but not exactly commuting distance. It's an 11 hour drive and a 2 hour flight.

Considering the fact that he is giving up a $6,000/year FCOA stipend, I can't imagine he will get home much more than he would at Liberty. My guess is this move was made more for basketball and other reasons. Brock should be far and away the best player and the centerpiece of that team from day one. He has also said he questioned his choice to be an aviation major and was going to change to something less demanding even if he had stayed at LU.

Pardon my aging memory but who were Fish and G?

Rodney "Fish" Harrison from Chattanooga and Gerald "G" (drawing a blank on his last name) that came in together as Jeff Meyer recruits and wound up transferring together out west. G was an All-L.A. County QB who chose to play hoops for us over Pac-10 football offers if memoru serves me correctly. But I believe he ultimately wound up going into full-time ministry. Fish was one of the most athletic players we have ever had wear an LU jersey.

Rodney was one of my students. Gerald's last name was Thomas. Found a roster from 1987-1988 when they were both juniors and SCAR was on the team.

Thanks Sly and CJ. Rodney was who I was thinking Fish was but I could only picture his face and not his name. That roster sure brings back a lot of familiar names. For some reason I was thinking Rodney had transferred to Grand Canyon.
